Publication number: 20040204060Abstract: A cellular phone has a signal processor, and the signal processor has a data selector. A first switch of the data selector selects either real face image data or three-dimensional character image data, thereby outputting the selected image data. A second switch of the data selector determines whether the real face image data should be introduced to a character visage extractor/synthesizer. The first switch is connected to a first terminal and the second switch is brought into an open (off) condition synchronously in response to a switch command. Alternatively the first switch is connected to a second terminal and the second switch is brought into a closed (on) condition in response to another switch command. The cellular phone can communicate with any types of conventional communication machines since the cellular phone sends either the real face image data or the character image data.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2002Publication date: October 14, 2004Inventors: Takumi Makinouchi, Shinichi Murata

Patent number: 6763793Abstract: A valve system has a piston mounted in a cylinder in one of first and second rocker arms and is adapted to be forced by a return spring, and an engagement projection formed in the other one of the first and second rocker arms and is adapted to abut the piston to cause both of the first and second rocker arms to move in conjunction with each other. The return spring is disposed eccentrically with respect to the piston in such a direction as to get away from the engagement projection. Therefore, it is possible to ensure a sufficient stiffness of a power transmitting section of the valve system and a sufficient valve lift.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2003Date of Patent: July 20, 2004Assignee: Mitsubishi Jidosha Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shinichi Murata, Toshihiko Oka

Publication number: 20040040532Abstract: Bearings and oil flow holes are formed on walls between cylinders of a cylinder block. Journals of a crank shaft are supported rotatably by the bearings and a bearing cap. The bearing cap has pairs of arms and a pair of beams which link the arms together. The arms face the under surfaces of the walls. The arms have vertical walls formed thereon. These vertical walls are formed on both sides of area right under the outlet of the oil flow hole along the top surface of the arm. An oil flowing through the outlet of the oil flow hole flows down along the top surface of the arm and the vertical walls and into an oil pan.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2003Publication date: March 4, 2004Inventors: Takashi Maeda, Shinichi Murata

Patent number: 5711387Abstract: An engine cooling system for inducing a stream of cold air via a radiator fan toward the rear part of a vehicle so as to cool a vehicle engine, which includes catalysts downstream of an exhaust manifold. The radiator fan is displaced in front the engine so that substantially no cold airstreams from the radiator fan directly strike the exhaust manifold. Thus, exhaust emissions are prevented from being excessively cooled, so that the catalysts can become active to purify the exhaust emissions reliably. The engine cooling system is effective to keep the catalysts active when the engine is in the partial cylinder operation mode in which the exhaust emissions tend to be lowered in the temperature.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1996Date of Patent: January 27, 1998Assignee: Mitsubishi Jidosha Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shinichi Murata, Masahiko Kubo, Tetsuo Kataoka, Kiyoshi Hatano

Patent number: 5445115Abstract: A valve system is provided for driving engine valves arranged in an internal combustion engine. The valve system comprises a valve drive arm member pivotally supported on a side of a main body of an engine while being maintained in contact with end portions of the engine valves, a first rocker arm for rocking the valve drive arm member, a second rocker arm for causing the valve drive arm member to undergo rocking at an amplitude greater than rocking by the first rocker arm, and coil springs for urging the engine valves in closing directions, respectively. Each coil spring is interposed between a retainer disposed fixedly on the corresponding engine valve and a cylinder head. Each coil spring is designed to avoid interference with a rocking path of the corresponding rocker arm on a side of the coil spring.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1993Date of Patent: August 29, 1995Assignee: Mitsubishi Jidosha Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shinichi Murata, Noriyuki Miyamura
