    Abstract: A switching regulator includes a switch circuit that delivers a power from a power supply side to an output side, and a smoothing circuit that smoothes the voltage on the output side. The switching regulator also includes an on/off control circuit that controls the on/off of the switch circuit, as the duty ratio is changed depending on the value of the output voltage, so that the output voltage will be equal to a preset voltage. The switching regulator further includes an on-resistance control circuit that exercises control to increase the on-resistance of the switch circuit when the output voltage is lower by not less than a predetermined voltage than the preset voltage.
