  • Publication number: 20040123663
Abstract: An acceleration sensor in which a regulation plate is fixed with adhesive onto a support frame of a sensor chip of the sensor to limit the movement of a mass portion of the sensor chip within a predetermined gap range. In the acceleration sensor, the adhesion area of the adhesive can be controlled to a predetermined value to prevent a variation of the sensitivity due to the variation of the adhesion area. The sensor chip comprises the mass portion, the frame surrounding the mass portion and having on an upper surface of the frame a plurality of the recesses to fill adhesive into, elastic support arms bridging the mass portion and the frame, and strain gauges formed on the elastic support arms. The regulation plate is fixed with paste onto the frame with the predetermined gap with an upper surface of the mass portion. The paste contains hard plastic balls, of a diameter larger than the predetermined gap, mixed with adhesive. The adhesive is preferably of silicon-rubber resin.

  • Publication number: 20030072960
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for manufacturing a long composite vacuum vapor-deposition material wire in which an outer periphery of a core wire of iron, nickel, cobalt or an alloy of these metals is coated or sheathed with an aluminum or aluminum alloy. The outer periphery of the core wire is coated or sheathed with aluminum etc. by plastic working, thereby to form a primary composite wire so as not to form a macroscopic space between the core wire and the aluminum coating. By performing a cold wire drawing of this primary composite wire, the core material and the coating material are integrally drawn and firmly bonded together by the self-heat generation or frictional heat during plastic deformation. It is possible to obtain a composite vacuum vapor-deposition material wire which has a weight ratio of core portion of 8 to 45 wt. %, a uniform composition distribution in length and a length of more than 100 m.

  • Patent number: 6465817
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit capable of speeding up its operations and improving the degree of integration is obtained. This semiconductor integrated circuit comprises a macro cell part and a logic part formed around the macro cell part. The macro cell part includes a logic wiring region for receiving wires provided in the logic part. Thus, such a probability that the wires of the logic circuit bypass the macro cell part is reduced, whereby the wiring length of the wires of the logic part is reduced to reduce the wiring capacity while the wires are prevented from congestion around the macro cell part. Consequently, the circuit operations are speeded up and the degree of integration of the semiconductor integrated circuit is improved.

  • Patent number: 6246541
Abstract: A thin film magnetic head has insulation between layers that can be maintained even by reducing distances between layers of thin film coils. Accordingly, a magnetic path formed by a lower magnetic core and an upper magnetic core can be reduced. The lowermost-layer thin film conductors have a substantially rectangular cross section and are provided on insulating resin layers formed on a non-magnetic thin film. The thin film conductors of the second lowermost-layer thin film coil have a downward convex bottom surface and are disposed face-to-face in between the adjoining lowermost-layer thin film conductors. The thin film conductors of the second lowermost-layer thin film coil can have a more protruded bottom surface by providing protruded portions on the insulating resin layer and the lowermost-layer thin film conductors on the protruded portions.

  • Patent number: 6202289
Abstract: A manufacturing method that can manufacture small thin film magnetic head sliders with high dimensional accuracy and high manufacturing yield is disclosed. This manufacturing method uses 5 inch- or 6 inch-dia. substrate wafers having a thickness sufficient to keep wafer bending to a minimum level even after thin film magnetic head elements have been formed on it.
