  • Patent number: 6220875
Abstract: An electrical connection box 1 containing at least one generally planar base insulative plate 4 having two flat surfaces. There is at least one busbar 5 on or adjacent the first surface which is capable of electrical contact with a plurality of insulated wires 6. The busbar has one or more pressure connection sections 10 which include a pair of blades 11 which cut through the insulation on the wires 6 and make electrical contact therewith. The insulated wires are straight, parallel to each other, and are located in the wire concentration section 15 which is on or adjacent the second surface of the base insulative plate 4. The wire concentration section 15 and the pressure connection section 10 are in register with each other and openings 17 are provided in the base insulative plate through which the blades 11 can project.

  • Patent number: 6176726
Abstract: An electrical connection box having a main case, a connector housing therein, and a mating connector in the connector housing. There is an engagement section on one inside wall of the connector housing which engages the mating connector. There is also a support section on an inside wall of the connector housing with a retainer inserted therein. The retainer bears against at least a portion of the mating connector, thereby preventing it from slipping out of the connector housing.

  • Patent number: 6052283
Abstract: A storage box including an inner box housing an electronic control unit, an outer box housing the inner box, and an open space between the two boxes which allows for cooling air to circulate. A cover is formed integrally with the inner box via a thin hinge. The electronic control unit is thereby protected from heat generated by an automobile engine, as well as dirt and moisture.

  • Patent number: 6008454
Abstract: The storage box employs an inner box surrounded by an outer box. The inner box houses an electronic control unit. Between the two boxes is a space in which air circulates to cool the electronic control unit. A hole in the inner box is sealed with a filter that is impervious to water but allows air to freely pass. Thus, the electronic control unit is cooled without being damaged by water and dirt in the cooling air.

  • Patent number: 5789704
Abstract: A container for an electronic control unit is provided for preventing heat transmission and entrance of water moisture at a low cost. An electronic control unit (1) is contained in a container (12) which is to be arranged in an engine compartment (2b). The container (12) includes a first box unit (14) and a second box unit (15). The first box unit (14) includes an inner box (20) for containing the electronic control unit (1) and an outer box (21) which defines a first heat removing space (32A) in cooperation with side walls (46a to 47b) of an upper portion of the inner box (20). The second box unit (15) is continuous with a bottom end of the outer box (21) of the first box unit (14) and defines a second heat removing space (32B) in cooperation with side walls (46a to 47b) of a lower portion of the inner box (20) and a bottom wall (48) of the inner box (20). The bottom end of the outer box (21) of the first box unit (14) and an upper end of the second box unit (15) are secured by welding.
