    Abstract: A refrigeration system for use in an automotive air conditioner comprises a compressor for compressing vapor-phase refrigerant, a condenser connected to the outlet of the compressor, an expansion valve connected to the outlet of the valve, and a vapor pressure-adjusting valve mounted in the passage extending from the evaporator to the compressor. When the vapor pressure inside this passage is less than a certain value, the adjusting valve reduces the flow of refrigerant from the evaporator to the compressor to maintain the vapor pressure constant. A part of the liquid-phase refrigerant on the downstream side of the condenser is added to the refrigerant evaporated by the evaporator, by means of the adjusting valve.

    Abstract: A structural arrangement for an evaporator producing a uniform temperature gradient across its width. The structure is arranged so as to even out the flow of refrigerant within the evaporator. A first tank portion has a inlet and a second tank portion has a outlet. One end of each of plural tubes are connected thereto. A plurality of tubes allow refrigerant to flow from the first tank portion to the second. The tubes are arranged so as to provide equal flow distances for refrigerant across the evaporator, taking into account the directions of flow in the first and second tank portions. In a second embodiment, the inlet port and the outlet port are disposed at the first tank portion and the second tank portion respectively in such a manner that directions of the refrigerant flow within the first tank portion and the second tank portion are opposite to each other.

    Abstract: A video information transfer processing system in which the contents of a video memory are transferred to a main memory device. This system comprises a color extraction circuit including comparison circuits having logical circuits between the video memory and the main memory device and a DMA controller. Each comparison circuit extracts color information to be transferred in response to designated color factor information and the extracted output is supplied to the main memory device. The DMA controller performs timing control, supply of address information and the like in the above-mentioned processing. By using this system, coloring can be carried out during the transference of the video information and a high speed coloring processing is possible.

The lubrication mechanism comprises an oil guiding rib formed along an outer circumference of a small diametrical counter gear arranged in the vicinity of the intermediate plate. With this arrangement, a lubricating oil may be sufficiently supplied to desired areas in the gear transmission by means of a small diametrical counter gear.

    Abstract: A receiver has a good usage for receiving coolant in a refrigerant circuit. The receiver can improve the fixing and the connecting operation when the receiver is connected with the refrigerant circuit provided in an automotive engine room. The receiver is comprised of a receiver housing having a flat upper surface and a couple of block joints having a flat lower surface. The block joints are furnished on the upper surface of the receiver housing by screwing. The block joints have connecting halls an inlet and an outlet pipes are jointed therein. At least one of the connecting halls are formed vertically so that at least one of the inlet and the outlet pipes elongates upwardly. Therefore, the inlet or the outlet pipe has advantage to be connected easily and effectively.

    Abstract: A reverse shift mechanism for a manual automotive transmission of the type having a reverse idler gear which is movable such as to selectively form a reverse gear train. The reverse shift mechanism includes a reverse shift arm carrying a shoe which engages with a circumferential groove in the reverse idler gear so as to push the same gear. An end of the reverse shift arm adjacent the reverse idler gear is formed with a hole, while the shoe has an end which is shaped to fit in the hole. In the assembly, end of the shoe fits in the hole formed in the reverse shift arm so that the shoe is prevented from coming off. After assembly, the shoe is clamped between the groove formed in the reverse idler gear and the hole in the reverse shift arm so that it is held in place.

The electrical signal and a reference signal are fed to a cathode ray tube display unit (18) to produce a Lissajous figure. The shape of the Lissajous figure indicates whether the Schnarren phenomenon is present and, if so, to what extent. The frequencies or amplitudes of the electrical signal and reference signal are compared to produce a signal indicating the difference therebetween which is fed to a digital display unit (22).
