  • Publication number: 20060188677
Abstract: The technical problem of this invention is to establish a method of processing a synthetic resin tube, in which the shape of a part of the tube wall is changed to form easily an attractively hollowed and/or raised portion in a fairly wide area of the tube wall. The object of this invention is to provide a tubular container having excellent decorativeness, appearance, or functionality that has never been found before.

  • Patent number: 7048132
Abstract: A blow-molded synthetic resin bottle that can be fully flattened and easily restored to an original shape. The bottle includes at least a line of turn is formed on the shoulder, the body, and the bottom along the entire vertical circumference. Among the sections divided by this line of turn, at least a section is used as a shell section in which at least a nearly entire body portion of this section has relatively high rigidity. The other section is a reversible section in which at least a nearly entire body portion has relatively low rigidity and is capable of being deformed by resilient reversion. The neck is disposed on the shoulder, and the reversible section can be deformed and easily concaved into the shell section for volume reduction and then can be restored to the original shape.

  • Patent number: 6938803
Abstract: A liquid jetting pump of the present invention is constructed such that an intra container liquid is sucked into a cylinder 3 through a suction valve 9 by moving a vertically movable member 4 up and down, and the intra cylinder liquid is jetted out of a nozzle 29 through a discharge valve 31 from a stem 28. A plurality of ribs 10 are protruded in a peripheral direction from a lower edge part within the cylinder. Engagement recessed portions 11 are formed in inner parts of the upper surfaces of the ribs. A lower edge of a coil spring 38 for biasing the vertically movable member 4 is secured to each of the engagement recessed portions 11, thereby permitting a flow of liquid on both sides of the lower edge of the spring internally externally.

  • Patent number: 6586060
Abstract: A thin-walled laminated synthetic resin body for a liquid container according to the invention comprises first and second thin-walled synthetic resin layers (10, 20), each having a curved surface portion (11, 21) and a projection (12, 22) extending outwardly from a predetermined region at an edge of the curved surface portion (11, 21). The first and second layers (10, 20) are laminated to each other with the curved surface portions (11, 21) bulging out in the same direction, are integrated with each other at the edges (13, 23) of the curved surface portions (11, 21) and projections (12, 22), and are separable from each other at regions exclusive of the edges (13, 23). When a liquid is charged, the curved surface portion (21) of one of the first and second layers (20) is separated from the curved surface portion (11) of the other layer (10) and reversed.

  • Patent number: 6575320
Abstract: A bottle-type plastic container has a body and an opening at one end of the container that allows liquid content to be filled into the container and emptied therefrom. The body includes at least one body portion having a substantially regular polygonal cross-section defined by a plurality of generally flat walls. The generally flat walls of the body portion include flexible walls and less-flexible walls, which are arranged alternately to each other in a circumferential direction of the body portion. When the container is filled with liquid contents at a high temperature and subsequently cooled to room temperature, a resultant pressure drop within the container is absorbed by the walls, initially by a primary inward deflection of the flexible walls and subsequently by a secondary inward deflection of the less-flexible walls. As such, the plastic container is particularly suited for hot fill applications.

  • Patent number: 6507381
Abstract: A liquid crystal layer, made of a liquid crystal material having a negative dielectric anisotropy, is sealed between an opposing substrate and a pixel substrate that are arranged face to face with each other; thus, a liquid crystal panel of the birefringence control type is constructed. In this liquid crystal panel, the liquid crystal molecules, provided as the liquid crystal material, are kept in an oriented state in which they incline by an angle in the range of 3° to 10° with respect to the direction that is normal to the opposing substrate and the pixel substrate. Upon application of a driving voltage to the liquid crystal layer, since the pretilt angle, which is the initial angle of inclination of the liquid crystal molecules, is set at a value greater than that of a conventional apparatus, the occurrence of reverse tilt regions can be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20010035392
Abstract: A bottle-type plastic container has a barrel portion and an opening at one end region of the barrel, for allowing liquid contents to be charged into the container and discharged therefrom. The barrel portion has a generally polygonal cross-section defined by a plurality of substantially flat walls, and a plurality of part-cylindrical corner walls extending contiguously between the flat walls. The flat walls each has a shape that is deflected inwards as the liquid contents charged into the container at a high temperature is cooled, to absorb a pressure drop within the container. The corner walls each has a center line of curvature extending in parallel with a longitudinal axis of the container, and a radius of curvature that decreases as the pressure drop is absorbed by the flat walls.
