  • Patent number: 8714319
Abstract: A shim plate is provided at the rear side of a friction pad to abut annular contact parts of pistons. The shim plate is provided with first and second one-side cut portions and at a position corresponding to the annular contact part of a disk rotational entrance-side piston, for example, so that the area of contact between the shim plate and the annular contact part is larger at the disk rotational exit side than at the disk rotational entrance side. The first and second one-side cut portions and have four contact ends at which the peripheries of the cut portions and the annular contact part intersect each other. At least two of the four contact ends are provided on the disk rotational entrance side with respect to the diametrical center of the piston.

  • Publication number: 20140087199
Abstract: A self-assembled monolayer is formed on the surface of a molded article without roughening the surface of the molded article to thereby perform treatment for preventing a biochemical substance from being adsorbed, for example, on a microchip substrate, and imparting functionality of immobilizing a biofunctional molecule thereto. The surface of a cyclic olefin resin molded article, for example, a microchip substrate, is irradiated with vacuum ultraviolet light having a center wavelength of 172 nm from an excimer lamp to activate a portion serving as a flow channel in the substrate. Next, the molded is immersed in a tank filled, for example, with a fluorine compound solution, and a SAM film that is a self-assembled monolayer is formed on the surface activated by ultraviolet radiation.

  • Publication number: 20140072862
Abstract: A method of producing a lithium ion secondary battery includes: selecting a positive electrode active material that has a prescribed specific surface area, and preparing a nonaqueous electrolyte solution that contains a compound with a following formula (1) at a prescribed concentration. In an xy-coordinate plane that gives a relationship between a specific surface area x [m2/g] of the positive electrode active material and a concentration y [mol/kg] of the compound in the nonaqueous electrolyte solution, a combination of the prescribed specific surface area and the prescribed concentration corresponds to a combination of values that lies within a hexagonal inner region formed by connecting 6 points (x, y)=(0.80, 0.035), (2.20, 0.05), (2.60, 0.10), (2.60, 0.16), (0.80, 0.16), and (0.50, 0.10) in this sequence with straight lines.

  • Publication number: 20140027054
Abstract: Two workpieces composed of a resin workpiece and a resin workpiece, or composed of a resin workpiece and a glass substrate are bonded to each other such that troubles, such as an alignment shift and breakage etc. are not generated, while ensuring bonding uniformity. A first workpiece is placed on an inverting stage of an inverting stage unit, a second workpiece is placed on a work stage of a pressurizing stage unit, and UV light is radiated from a light irradiation unit. Then, the inverting stage is inverted 180°, the workpieces are overlapped each other on the work stage, and the workpieces are pressurized and pre-bonded to each other. Then, the workpieces in the pre-bonded state are transferred to a heating stage by a transfer means, the temperature of the workpieces is increased to a predetermined temperature by heating the workpieces, and the temperature is maintained until bonding is completed.

  • Patent number: 8396986
Abstract: In cooperation between each data center and a WAN, virtual machine migration is carried out without interruption in processing so as to enable effective power-saving implementation, load distribution, or fault countermeasure processing. Each node located at a boundary point between the WAN and another network is provided with a network address translation (NAT) function that can be set dynamically to avoid address duplication due to virtual machine migration. Alternatively, each node included in the WAN is provided with a network virtualization function; and there are implemented a virtual network connected to a data center for including a virtual machine before migration, and a virtual network connected to a data center for including the virtual machine after migration, thereby allowing coexistent provision of identical addresses. Thus, the need for changing network routing information at the time of virtual machine migration can be eliminated, and a setting change for migration accomplished quickly.
