  • Patent number: 7822322
Abstract: When a break in data is detected by a detection unit, an audio output stoppage command unit commands a digital audio processing device connected to an audio output unit to stop output of audio. A sampling frequency checking unit checks whether or not the sampling frequency of the audio data before the break, and the sampling frequency of the audio data after the break, are the same. When the sampling frequency checking unit detects that these sampling frequencies are the same, an audio output stoppage elimination command unit waits until a fixed time period has elapsed, and then returns the reading position upon the optical disk at which the reading unit reads in data to a position directly after the break, and also commands the digital audio processing device to eliminate the stoppage of output of audio.

  • Patent number: 7579693
Abstract: A ball grid array is mounted on a wiring board in a rectangular shape provided with screw insertion holes and fixed with screws to a mounting member at four points. Solder banks are formed around the screw insertion holes and pressed contact with a ground connecting face on the mounting member. The screw insertion holes are located in corners of an imaginary rectangular outline imagined on a board surface of the wiring board. Two of the holes diagonally positioned on the outline are located in one of corners and at an inward position of the wiring board, while the remaining two are located at intermediate parts of two sides embracing the corner. The wiring board is divided into a rectangular first zone surrounded by the four points and an L-shape second zone. The ball grid array is mounted on an intersecting area between vertical and transverse areas defining the L-shape.

  • Publication number: 20060193603
Abstract: In a second recording extension processing part 16, when it is selected to perform recording extension processing by a first recording extension processing part 15, if bit rate determination means determines, for recorded data subjected to the recording extension processing, that the current recording bit rate is larger than the convertible bit rate and if free space determination means 162 determines that a free space of a recording medium is equal to or larger than the capacity required for recording a TV program for which a timer is programmed, second record means 163 records new data on an area corresponding to the free space of the recording medium. Thus, the recordable time can be increased considering the setting of image quality and sound quality at the time of recording, thus further improving the usability for the user.

  • Patent number: 6088314
Abstract: A disc reading apparatus includes a microcomputer. The microcomputer calculates, based on amount data, an outer radius (RM) of an area that is recording data. The reading speed on the determined outer radius is set to a previously set speed (V.sub.2) for the outer circumference. When reading desired data, a radius of an inner circumference (r) of the data-recorded area is calculated from time information (identification data) to calculate a reading speed (V.sub.n) for reading the data. That is, since the disc contains data recorded such that the linear velocity per unit area becomes constant, the position of a pick-up and the reading speed are represented by a generally inversely proportional linear equation. Therefore, the reading speed (V.sub.n) can be calculated based on the inner radius (r) of the area recording the data to be read, the inner and outer radii (RS, RM) of the data-recorded area, and previously set inner and outer speeds (V.sub.1, V.sub.2).

  • Patent number: 4901169
Abstract: A floppy disk drive apparatus capable of using high- and low-density disks includes an erase section. When it is determined that a floppy disk to be used has a high-density, data is immediately written on the floppy disk in response to a write command. However, when it is determined that the floppy disk to be used has a low-density, data, which has previously been recorded on the recording area of the track where the read/write head is currently located, is erased prior to the writing of new data. After erasure is completed, the new data is recorded on the recording area, in response to a write signal.

  • Patent number: 4897746
Abstract: A magnetic head device for a floppy disk drive apparatus, which can read data from, and write data on, floppy disks of different recording densities is disclosed. The magnetic head device comprises a read/write head having at least two read/write gaps, an erase head, and gap selecting circuit. The read/write gaps have different gap length one another. Respective gap lengths correspond to the recording densities of the floppy disks. A gap selecting circuit of the magnetic head device selectes an optimal read/write gap for the floppy disk loaded to the floppy disk drive apparatus. The type, or the recording density, of the floppy disk loaded to the floppy disk drive apparatus is checked by means of a high recording density detecting switch. The detecting switch sends a signal to the gap selecting circuit in accordance with the recording density of the loaded floppy disk.
