  • Patent number: 5535034
Abstract: An optical transceiver unit capable of preventing any crosstalk from an optical transmitter to an optical receiver to thereby avert reduction of the reception sensitivity. The optical transceiver unit comprises a multilayer printed circuit board, a lower case for housing the multilayer printed circuit board therein, and an upper case so disposed as to cover the lower case for enclosing the multilayer printed circuit board in an assembly of the two cases. A light emitting element module and a light receiving element module are attached to one side wall of the lower case. The printed circuit board has a first region where a transmitting circuit is formed, and a second region where a receiving circuit is formed. The first and second regions are completely isolated electromagnetically from each other by a first shield plate fixed to the lower case and a second shield plate fixed to the upper case.

  • Patent number: 5371725
Abstract: A read-write head of a magneto-optical disc player has an optical head having an optical pickup, and a magnetic head having an electromagnet. The optical head and the magnetic head are each slidably held by guide members so as to be moved in a radial direction of an optical disc. A motor is mounted on each head for moving the head along the guide member. A relative position between both heads at a position where both heads oppose each other is detected, and both heads are moved along the guide members, maintaining the relative position.

  • Patent number: 5321686
Abstract: A read-write head of a magneto-optical disc player has an optical head having an optical pickup, and a magnetic head having an electromagnet. Each of the optical head and the magnetic head is slidably held by guide members so as to be moved in a radial direction of an optical disc. Permanent magnets are mounted on both heads for attracting each other head. Thus, when one of the head moves, the other follows.

  • Patent number: 5162661
Abstract: A position detector includes: light emitting component for irradiating the surface of an object to be measured; two light receiving components for receiving light reflected by the measured surface, a distance from one of the light receiving components to the measured surface as viewed in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface being different from a distance from the other of the light receiving components to the surface; calculating circuit for calculating a correction quantity for correcting the distances between the light receiving components and the surface, with the correction quantity being calculated on the basis of a difference between the output signals of the light receiving components; and, moving component for correcting the distances between the measured surface and the light receiving components in accordance with the correction quantity. A first embodiment has two light receiving components each spaced at different distances from the surface.

  • Patent number: 5093816
Abstract: An optical magnetic recording system has a magnetic head for generating a magnetic field on a magneto-optical disk, and an optical head including a magnetic actuator is provided for irradiating a laser beam. A field cancellation magnet is attached to the back of the magnetic head for producing a magnetic force so as to cancel a leakage magnetic force of the magnetic actuator which affects recording of information. This positioning of the field cancellation magnet provides better compensation of the leakage field without affecting the modulating field of the magnetic head.

  • Patent number: 4982299
Abstract: A linear motor is movably disposed in a disc unit internally provided with a cartidge holder for loading and ejecting a disc cartridge and is securely locked by a locking mechanism at the time of ejection of the cartridge. The locking mechanism comprises a first locking member extending downwards from the cartridge holder and a second locking member securely mounted on the linear motor. When the disc cartridge is ejected by the cartridge holder, the first locking member is brought into contact with the second locking member to move the linear motor toward a location at which the linear motor is securely locked.

  • Patent number: 4376364
Abstract: A given number of sheets are set to a supply section and, after being bundled, supplied from the supply section. The bundled portion of the bundled sheets is read out by a reading-out unit and a sorting card is prepared by a sorting card preparing unit on the basis of read-out data. The thus set sheets are taken out sheet by sheet by a take-out unit and sorted by an inspection unit and sorting unit into normal sheets, soiled sheets and reject sheets. The reject sheets are collected, together with the sorting card, at a reject sheet sorting/collecting unit.
