  • Publication number: 20100031279
Abstract: A host with a removable device includes a main body, a removable device, and a fixing and withdrawing mechanism. Each element of the fixing and withdrawing mechanism is connected with each other by using a plurality of springs. When the removable device is placed into the host, a slide rod is pushed and a link rod is linked, such that the removable device is fastened in the host by using the link rod. When a user pulls an actuating rod, the link rod is guided to release the fastening state, and the removable device is ejected by using the slide rod under the forces of the springs.

  • Patent number: 6095870
Abstract: A structure for preventing false engagement of a connecting seat with a base is disclosed, in which one or more stoppers in different positions are installed in spacing sections between each of the two adjacent jacks, at the top ends of the spacing sections of the base. Longitudinal notches corresponding to the stoppers are formed on the top edge of the spacers that separate respective pairs of the plurality of receiving holes of the connecting seat. When the base and the connecting seat are to be engaged, if the stopper is aligned with the notch, they can be engaged tightly. If it is not aligned with the notch, the connecting seat and base can not be engaged.

  • Patent number: 5863334
Abstract: A strength-enhanced quartz boat is provided to enhance the strength at connections between the quartz plates and quartz rods of the quartz boat. The strength-enhanced quartz boat includes a front quartz plate, a rear quartz plate, a first pair of quartz rods, a second pair of quartz rods and four reinforcement bars. The first pair of quartz rods are disposed longitudinally to connect the front quartz plate and rear quartz plate at an upper location respectively. The second pair of quartz rods are disposed longitudinally to connect, via first engagement connections, the front quartz plate and rear quartz plate at a lower location respectively. Each reinforcement bar is disposed longitudinally to connect, via a second engagement connection, to one corresponding front quartz plate or rear quartz plate at a location below one corresponding rod of the lower pair of quartz rods. A welding operation is performed on the first engagement connections and the second engagement connections respectively.

  • Patent number: 5395340
Abstract: An improved infusion pump and a method for infusing patients using same. The infusion pump is modified to utilize a plurality of different drugs, each formulated at a mean effective dosage and toxicity level such that the infusion rate is the same for the drugs. More specifically, the control means of the infusion pump has a single drug label plate affixed to the pump and adjustable controls which are used in setting the mean effective dosage of the drug to be infused, the body weight of the patient to be infused, and the bolus or initial dosage of the drug to be infused. The method of the present invention comprises preparing the formulation of the plurality of different drugs, each at a mean effective dosage and, in combination with the infusion pump of the invention, infusing the drugs into patients at the same rate.

  • Patent number: 5092344
Abstract: An indicator for a nerve stimulator located remotely from the pulse generator and secured onto the precise portion of the anatomy under observation for responsive twitch. The indicator comprises exemplary embodiments of visual annunciators including a light bulb, a light emitting diode, a liquid crystal diode, or other visual indications. A wrap arrangement holds the indicator to the observed part of the anatomy such as a finger. Alternately, a finger cap attachment provides a convenient means to attach the annunciator to a finger under observation. A needle probe can be used for mounting the annunciator to internal areas of the anatomy.

  • Patent number: 4901708
Abstract: A laryngoscope curved blade includes a pair of fiber optic bundles, one fiber optic bundle adapted to transmit light to the distal end of the blade and the other fiber optic bundle adapted to provide a viewing channel for telescopic viewing of the area adjacent to the distal end of the blade. A lens attached to the proximal end of the blade gathers and focuses the light transmitted by the viewing channel fiber optic bundle. Additionally, a lamp located on the proximal end of the blade provides illumination down the throat of a patient for line of sight viewing of the person performing the largyngoscope and the light transmitted by the first fiber optic bundle for illumination of the area adjacent to the distal end of the blade.
