Abstract: Apparatus including two types of cutting means or roller cutters and shears for cutting a channel box for a fuel assembly for a nuclear reactor and method therefor. The roller cutters and shears are located in the lower portion of a casing having inserted thereinto the channel box from which the fuel assembly has been removed, with the shears being located beneath the roller cutters. The roller cutters continuously cut the channel box axially thereof, while the shears shear the axially-split portions of the channel box in a direction intersecting the center axis of the channel box. Means for outwardly expanding the axially-split portions of the channel box is provided between the roller cutters and the shears. Means for downwardly moving the channel box in the casing is inserted in the casing. Means for drawing off coolant from the casing to clean the latter is connected to the upper portion of the casing.

Abstract: A nonvolatile semiconductor memory apparatus is provided which comprises a flip-flop circuit formed of a pair of MOS FETs and a pair of MNOS FETs coupled to the bistable output terminals of the flip-flop circuit, respectively. The memory apparatus further has a pair of MOS FETs coupled to have the current paths in parallel with the current paths of the pair of MOS FETs of the flip-flop circuit.

Abstract: A double effect absorption refrigerating system having improved thermal efficiency is provided wherein a solution concentrated by a high pressure generator is, after being used to raise the temperature of a weak solution fed to the high pressure generator and before being fed into a low pressure generator, heated with heat energy transferred thereto from a refrigerant passed through a tube within the low pressure generator.

Abstract: A double effect absorption system having improved thermal efficiency is provided wherein a part of a weak solution fed from an absorber to a high pressure or first generator is bypassed to a second generator and the bypassed solution is transferred with the heat energy from refrigerant passed through a tube within a low pressure or second generator.
