Abstract: A circuit for recovering a clock signal may include a frequency multiplier configured to generate a plurality of local clock signals, each having a different phase, based on a plurality of received global clock signals at a first frequency and each having a different phase. The local clock signals may be generated at a second frequency higher than the first frequency. The circuit may include a phase interpolator configured to generate a recovered clock signal at a given phase and at a third frequency, based on the generated local clock signals, and a phase shifter configured to adjust the phase of the recovered clock signal so as to synchronize the phase of the recovered clock signal with a phrase of input data that is input to the phase shifter.

Abstract: A fan holder, for attaching a fan to a heat sink, includes a base, fasteners, and clamping arms. The fasteners extend from the base. Each of the fasteners defines an arc-shaped locking portion engaging with the fan. The clamping arms extend from the base opposite to the fasteners, and engage with the heat sink to thereby attach the fan to the heat sink.

Abstract: A head mounted display system having a virtual keyboard and capable of adjusting a focus of a display screen comprises a signal processing unit; a focus adjustment unit; an image display unit connected to the signal processing unit; the image display unit being installed at a head mounted display device for displaying the adjusted display image which is directly viewed by at least one eye of a user wearing the head mounted display; and a focus input unit connected to the focus adjustment unit; focus input unit being a manually operation device for generating the focus adjustment signal to the signal processing unit; the focus input unit providing a focus value to the focus adjustment unit; and a virtual keyboard input unit including a finger positioning unit, a keyboard display unit, a keying processing unit and a virtual keyboard. Abstract: An isolation oxide film whose upper surface is higher than a surface of a substrate is formed in the substrate. A silicon oxide film is formed on the substrate between the isolation oxide films. A self-aligned polysilicon film is formed on the silicon oxide film between the isolation oxide films. After forming a resist pattern covering the peripheral circuitry, the isolation oxide films in the memory cell are etched by a predetermined thickness. An ONO film is formed on the entire surface of the substrate, a second resist pattern covering the memory cell is formed. Then, the ONO film, the polysilicon film 8 and the silicon oxide film 7 are removed from the peripheral circuitry.

Abstract: A method and system for visual content authoring and user interface thereof. An authoring interface, comprising a plurality button controls, is first provided. Required play items are added using the button controls to generate a playlist, and a navigation path is then defined according to the play items and the playlist. Next, the media objects and the navigation path are compiled to generate a disc image file, including a plurality of video clips, each comprising a plurality of PGCs with an unlimited number of playlists and play items.

Abstract: Redundantly constrained laminar structures as weak-link mechanisms and a novel method for manufacturing the redundantly constrained laminar structures as weak-link mechanisms are provided. The method for producing the redundantly constrained laminar structures as weak-link mechanisms is carried out by lithographic techniques. A designed pattern is repeatedly chemically etched with a mask to produce a plurality of individual identical units. The units are stacked together to form the laminar structure and are secured together with fasteners. A high quality adhesive can be applied to the sides of the laminar structure to provide the mechanism equivalent to a single piece mechanism. The redundantly constrained laminar structures as weak-link mechanisms of the invention include a stack of a plurality of thin material structures.

Abstract: A method and system for optimizing performance of a read buffer and a write buffer in a disc media having a feature requiring apparently simultaneous reading and writing. The method includes alternately writing data to the disc media from the write buffer during a write time tW and reading data from the disc media to the read buffer during a read time tR. The read time and the write time are generally separated by a jump time tJ. The write time is selectively controlled so that it is optimized in accordance with respect to the front end read speed, the decoding bit rate, the front end write speed of the recordable media device and the encoding bit rate.

Abstract: A multiple-wavelength-pumped Raman amplifier includes a control unit that controls, based on a relational expression associating an amount of fluctuation in a current signal light power at a signal input end, an amount of fluctuation in a current pumping light power at a pumping light input end, an amount of fluctuation in the current signal power at a signal output end, and an amount of fluctuation in the current pumping light power at a pumping light output end, two fluctuation amounts by determining other two fluctuation amounts in advance, to determine pumping light powers satisfying the relational expression.

Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting foreign matter on substrates on which circuit patterns, such as reticles or masks, are formed, reduces false detection due to scattered/diffracted light from circuit patterns and also reduces the occurrence of undetected foreign matters. A light source such as a scanning laser beam having a certain polarization angle to the surface of an inspection object substrate is provided. A main detector extinguishes scattered/diffracted light caused by a circuit pattern formed on the surface of the inspection substrate and detects an output signal. A reference detector transmits scattered/diffracted light caused by the circuit pattern, and detects an output signal.

Abstract: A motorized apparatus for towing a wheelchair includes a framework, a handle assembly, a motor driving assembly and a wheelchair connecting assembly. The framework includes a chassis. The handle assembly is adjustably mounted on the chassis. The motor driving assembly is mounted on the chassis and includes a wheel assembly with a single wheel rotatably mounted on the chassis, a combined clutch and brake assembly connected to the wheel assembly, a motor assembly connected to the combined clutch and brake assembly to drive the single wheel assembly through the combined clutch and brake assembly and a one-hand operated battery assembly coupled electrically to the motor assembly to drive the control unit and the motor assembly. The wheelchair connecting assembly interconnects the framework to a wheelchair. Consequently, the motorized apparatus will tow the wheelchair along a path, road and so on.

Abstract: A prosthetic pneumatic unit includes a cylinder body, both ends of which are respectively closed by a head part and a bottom part, and a piston is interposed within the cylinder body and defines a first and a second chambers; the cylinder body having a first and a second air passages each having a contraction part at the lower portion thereof; a piston rod connected to the piston; an elastic member received in the second chamber for pushing the piston back to an original position thereof; and a first and a second valve mechanisms respectively received in the first and the second air passages for controlling the respective traveling drags and thus up- and down-traveling velocities of the piston rod. Therefore, the up- and down-traveling velocities of the piston rod thereof can be separately controlled by the adjustments of the first and second valve mechanisms according to users'desires.

The method includes the steps of: preparing a fabric and a coating that are processed to form a predetermined connecting structure; preparing a waterproof tape that is to be adhered to the connecting structure; setting operation parameters of the heating blower according to a material of the waterproof tape, to allow an operation temperature, an operation air pressure, an operation rolling pressure and an operation rotation speed of the heating blower to have optimal ranges obtained from experiments; and adhering the waterproof tape to the connecting structure by the heating blower operating with the operation temperature, operation air pressure, operation rolling pressure and operation rotation speed thereof, so as to improve an adhesion force of the waterproof tape and a blocking effect thereof against small particles and blood materials to achieve product requirements.

Abstract: An integrative microdialysis and chip-based electrophoresis system and analytical method using the same are disclosed. The system combines the microdialysis probe sampling technique and continuous pressure flow feeding coupled with chip-based electrophoresis analysis. It is capable of performing online sampling as well as rapid and continuous monitoring and analysis of biological samples. The system offers the advantages of real-time on-chip dye labeling, simple apparatus setup and easy operation.

Abstract: A radiator structure includes a radiator frame, a radiator and a plurality of elastic latch members. The radiator frame is mounted onto a main board corresponding to an electronic element, and has a plurality of coupling sections and an opening corresponding to the electronic element and the surface of the electronic element exceeds its peripheral edges. The radiator is mounted on the radiator frame in contact with the surface of the electronic element, and has a plurality of latch sections corresponding to the coupling sections. The elastic latch member coupled on the latch section is bent to form a force applying section, a latch arm and a swinging arm. After the force applying section receives a force, the swinging arm coupled on the latch section is turned to enable the latch arm to latch on the coupling section thereby to anchor the radiator on the radiator frame to disperse heat.

Abstract: There is provided a new thermo-gelling composition made with methylcellulose and citric acid. This composition may also have an effective amount of a treating agent, which may be a medicinal agent, cosmetic agent, moisturizer, adjuvant, nutritional agent, other ingredients and combinations thereof. The composition is useful in delivering moisturizers or pharmaceutically active agents to the user in a controlled release manner through the mucosal tissues in a body cavity, or on body surfaces, or as a subcutaneously injected medicament. The composition may also be used as a replacement for the soft tissues of the body as in, for example, the foot cushion and cartilage repair.
