  • Patent number: 5757948
Abstract: This invention provides an image processing method and apparatus, which are characterized in that coded record information is received in units of pages, the record information is developed into bit image data in units of areas each having a height corresponding to an integer multiple of a height of a record head for recording the record information, and image information is recorded by the record head according to the developed bit image data. An area for recording the bit image data is designated as a specific area, and a moving range of the record head is controlled according to the designated specific area information. When the developed bit image data corresponds to a final area of a page, the height of data present in the area is obtained, and information of the obtained height is used as the specific area information. Whether or not the bit image data to be developed is included in the specific area information is checked.

  • Patent number: 5671021
Abstract: A color image monitoring apparatus is capable of controlling the color correction characteristics by external commands. A color correction information memory stores input masking coefficients and .gamma. correction tables. The input masking coefficients can be loaded in the memory by an external command. In the .gamma. correction tables includes a table for the correction values for the .gamma. values at pitches of 0.1 within a range of 1.0 to .alpha. (>1.0). When a .gamma. correction process is executed, the tables to be used are selected by specifying the .gamma. values by the external command. A color correction circuit performs the respective .gamma. correction and input masking processes using the .gamma. correction tables and input masking coefficients stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 5517317
Abstract: A method and apparatus for image processing, in which coded recording information is developed into bit image data in units of given areas. Each area has a size which is an integer multiple of the height of the record head. In addition, the recording information can be managed in units of record heads, and coloring agents, thereby reducing recording processing time. Further, unnecessary initialization is avoided because it is first checked to determine if any information is present within the width of the corresponding recording head, and only initializes if necessary.

  • Patent number: 5495560
Abstract: This output apparatus has a memory for storing compressed data obtained by compressing a pattern or dot data representing a pattern. A controller determines whether the dot data representing the pattern to be output is stored in the memory or not. The controller also determines whether the compressed data corresponding to the pattern to be output is stored in the memory if the controller determines that no dot data representing the pattern is stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 5408342
Abstract: A color image processing apparatus is provided with a color correction information memory to store input masking coefficients and .gamma. correction tables. The input masking coefficients can be loaded on the memory by external commands. The .gamma. correction tables include a table for correction values for the .gamma. values at pitches of 0.1 within a range of 1.0 to .alpha. (>1.0). • Patent number: 5309259
Abstract: Color outputting method and apparatus are disclosed. A size of character to be generated is discriminated. Ratios of coloring materials constructing the color to be generated are corrected when the size of character is smaller than a predetermined value. When the coloring materials are corrected, the ratio of the coloring material of the highest ratio is set into 100% and the ratios of the other coloring materials are increased by only the same value as the highest ratio. Thus, a permanent visible color image can be formed at any size and in any color.
