  • Patent number: 12200657
Abstract: A mobile device supports positioning with positioning reference signals (PRS) on multiple beam by dividing the PRS processing into two separate modes, an acquisition mode and a tracking mode. In acquisition mode, the mobile device performs a fast scan of all of the beams from a base station transmitting PRS using less than the full set of resources for the PRS, i.e., less than the full bandwidth and/or less than the full number of repetitions of the PRS. The mobile device may select the best beams to use for positioning, e.g., based on signal strength metric. In tracking mode, the mobile device tracks the PRS from only the selected beams using the full set of resources for the PRS. The mobile device may return to acquisition mode after a predetermined number of positioning occasions or if the selected beams are no longer valid due to movement or change in conditions.

  • Patent number: 12189497
Abstract: A technique enables recovery of failover data used to generate one or more High Frequency Snapshots (HFSs) at a source and replicated to a target for storage and recovery. The target is illustratively an intermediary repository embodied as a long-term storage service (LTSS) configured to organize and store the HFSs as recovery points (RPs) in an object store. The LTSS stores a HFS identifier (ID), a logical offset in an object of the object store storing data of the HFS, and a logical timestamp associated with each replicated HFS as a key of a segment descriptor in a key-value database configured to store metadata describing the failover data of the HFS stored as one or more objects in the object store. Upon recovery of the failover data, the technique enables identification of the HFS stored in the object store and creation of a HFS index metadata structure (B+ tree) to extract the identified HFS as a RP.

  • Patent number: 12177737
Abstract: Techniques for determining levels of interactions amongst entities in a group are provided. A plurality of mobile electronic devices detect signal data indicating when pairs of devices are proximate to one another. A receiver receives the detected signal data, and a data structure representing a contact network is generated based on the received detected signal data. Based on the contact network, a first metric is generated comprising a quantification of an average number of other entities in the contact network with which an entity in the contact network will have interactions in a predetermined amount of time. Based on the contact network, a second metric is generated comprising a quotient comprising of a size of a component of the contact network divided by an overall network size of the contact network. Based on the first and second metric, a level of interaction amongst entities in the group is determined.

  • Patent number: 12177176
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and device embodiments for creating an improved mobile interface of a messaging application. The mobile interface displays unread conversations as a stack of tiles. With the top tile displayed, a user may efficiently mark the conversation as read or unread by swiping left or right. The interface then moves to the next tile in the stack. This allows a user to quickly triage unread messages while in the mobile application. The mobile interface ranks unread messages in an intuitive fashion in determining the ordering of the tiles. The interface may generate these rankings using a trained artificial intelligence based on a user's past behaviors and signals in unread messages. Messages received during the user's review of the stack of tiles may be dynamically inserted in a thoughtful manner.

  • Patent number: 12170978
Abstract: Positioning for user equipments (UEs) in a wireless network is supported by restricting position reference signal (PRS) configuration parameters for a Transmission Reception Point (TRP) based on PRS configuration used by co-located TRPs. The PRS configuration parameters for the TRP may be restricted by restricting orthogonality of the PRS resources with respect to PRS resources from co-located TRPs to only code division multiplexing, and other types of orthogonality such as time division multiplexing and frequency divisional multiplexing are not permitted for co-located TRPs. The PRS configuration parameters for the TRP may be restricted to the same muting sequence type, e.g., inter-instance and/or intra-instance muting, as used by co-located TRPs. The PRS configuration parameters, e.g., related to orthogonality and/or muting, are not restricted with respect to non-co-located TRPs.
