  • Patent number: 12019147
Abstract: An electronic device includes a Lidar sensor, a radar sensor, and a processor. The processor is configured to identify one or more objects from Lidar scans. The processor is configured to transmit, via the radar sensor, radar signals for object detection based on reflections of the radar signals received by the radar sensor. While the electronic device travels the area, the processor is configured to generate a first map indicating one or more objects within an area based on the Lidar scans and a second map based on the radar signals. The processor is configured to determine whether the second map indicates a missed object at the portion of the first map that is unoccupied. In response to a determination that the second map indicates the missed object, the processor is configured to modify the first map with the missed object.

  • Publication number: 20240204530
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for solar energy disaggregation at a node of a distribution system includes obtaining first data including samples of averaged net power measured by a meter installed at the node and second data including samples of solar irradiation local to the node averaged over intervals temporally correlated with the first data. A physics-based model of the node is trained using the first and second data, to optimize a set of model parameters. The physics-based model is defined such that an average net power includes a composite of an average solar generation and an average power consumption at the node and the average solar generation is modeled as a function of an average solar irradiation. An aggregate solar generation at the node is estimated/predicted from actual irradiation data/irradiation forecast data local to the node using a model parameter optimized by the training.

  • Patent number: 12008589
Abstract: Introduced here are approaches to determining causal relationships in mixed datasets containing data related to continuous variables and discrete variables. To accomplish this, a marketing insight and intelligence platform may employ a multi-phase approach in which dependency is established before the data related to continuous variables is discretized. Such an approach ensures that information regarding dependence is not lost through discretization.

  • Publication number: 20240187463
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing inking events from remote inking devices during online meetings. For example, a remote inking device comprising a physical orientation sensor can be used during an online meeting to perform inking actions while shared screen content is being presented during the online meeting. To control the inking action, a stream of coordinate update events can be received from the remote inking device. The stream of coordinate update events represents physical movement of the remote inking device as indicated by the physical orientation sensor. The coordinate update events can be relayed to participant devices of the online meeting. The participant devices can then perform the inking action on local displays.
