  • Patent number: 10817524
Abstract: A server system may include one or more hardware processors that execute computer-readable instructions from a non-transitory memory that cause the processor to receive a time component associated with a query request and one or more relational identification tags associated with a subset of a plurality of data items stored in one or more databases. The processor may then query the one or more databases to identify one or more time series data items based on the time component and the relational identification tags. After querying the databases, the processor may transmit the one or more time series data items to a computing device configured to display the one or more time series data items.

  • Patent number: 10814977
Abstract: A ship distress system that uses a location system associated with the ship and an unmanned aircraft in communication with the location system that continuously receives the location of the ship. The unmanned aircraft can be deployed from a launcher into the direction of potential rescuers so that the unmanned aircraft can provide the location of the ship in distress. The unmanned aircraft is launched in a collapsed position and then unfolds into an extended position after kinetic energy from the launch is lost to maximize the speed and distance that the unmanned aircraft can cover. The unmanned aircraft can includes a camera to search for and identify any third parties that can effect a rescue and is programmed to search for and communicate with a potential rescue vessels or bases after being deployed into the air.

  • Publication number: 20200332484
Abstract: A system for generating collision data captured by safety monitoring equipment on-hoard a safety truck may include a processor that receives an indication of a speed of a vehicle approaching the safety truck and that overlays a textual indication of the speed of the vehicle onto frames of video captured of the vehicle. If the processor receives an indication that the vehicle has collided with the safety truck, a timestamp is associated with the video and a predetermined portion preceding the timestamp and after the timestamp is not overwritten.

  • Patent number: 10809986
Abstract: An system and a method for the optimization of dynamic code translation is disclosed. A cloud-based front-end application receives an input module, rule specification and a translation definition. The cloud-based front-end application transmits the input module, rule specification and translation definition to a back-end processing module. The back-end processing module parses the three inputs and stores them in separate data structures. The back-end processing module performs a non-executing analysis of the translation definition based on the rule specification, generating a set of defects. The back-end processing module performs an execution of the translation definition with the input module, generating a report of system metrics. The set of defects and the system metrics are transmitted back to a GUI running on the cloud-based front-end application.

  • Publication number: 20200327104
Abstract: Data streaming applications may need to provide high reliability, particularly depending on the nature of the data being streamed. A framework is described that allows a data streaming application to ensure high reliability both during update operations and during ordinary operations. A unique event ID count can be recorded that reflects messages being sent from a source to the streaming application. After an update and service restart, the count can again be collected to see if data is flowing through the streaming application as expected. Unique database record counts can be reviewed (e.g. after a restart or during ordinary operations) to ensure that no records are being unexpectedly dropped. Data content sampling can also be performed to see that any data transformations are functioning properly. Corrective actions (after a restart or during ordinary operations) can also be taken, including replay of database messages that are dropped, or sending an alert.

  • Patent number: 10803127
Abstract: A record management system retrieves relevance information through an information retrieval model that models relevance between users, queries, and records based on user interaction data with records. Relevance information between different elements of the record management system are determined through a set of learned transformations in the information retrieval model. The record management system can quickly retrieve relevance information between different elements of the record management system given the set of learned transformations in the information retrieval model, without the need to construct separate systems for different types of relevance information. Moreover, even without access to contents of records, the record management system can determine relevant records for a given query based on user interaction data and the determined relationships between users, queries, and records learned through the information retrieval model.

  • Patent number: 10805765
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for determining when to transition a service-provider application between an in-store mode of operation and an online mode of operation using time as a proxy for location of a mobile device executing an application. When a user arrives at a physical location of the service provider, the user may provide an indication of this arrival via the application. In response, the application may transition from the online mode of operation to the in-store mode of operation. Further, the application may set a timer for a predefined amount of time and, after this amount of time elapses, may transition from the in-store operation mode back to the online operation mode.

  • Patent number: 10803039
Abstract: Techniques are provided for enabling a requesting entity to retrieve data that is managed by a database server instance from the volatile memory of a server machine that is executing the database server instance. The techniques allow the requesting entity to retrieve the data from the volatile memory of the host server machine without involving the database server instance in the retrieval operation. Because the retrieval does not involve the database server instance, the retrieval may succeed even when the database server instance has stalled or become unresponsive. In addition, direct retrieval of data using the techniques described herein will often be faster and more efficient than retrieval of the same information through conventional interaction with the database server instance.

  • Patent number: 10801169
Abstract: Right and left safety module embodiments are designed to be installed in insets located midway along right and left sides of flatbed trucks. The modules provide “man baskets” that have lower and upper platforms. While the truck is being driven alongside a roadway work zone, a workperson standing on the module's lower platform either 1) moves traffic delineators one at a time from the upper platform, and then places the delineators at spaced locations alongside the roadway work zone, or 2) removes traffic delineators one at a time from spaced locations alongside the roadway work zone, and then places the delineators onto the upper platform. Vertically movable safety rails and pivotal safety gates of the modules prevent falls from the modules of workpersons standing on the lower platform.

  • Patent number: 10795427
Abstract: A method from managing power state transitions in a computing system is disclosed. A processor may initiate a change in power state from a first initial power state to a first new power state and, in response to initiating the change, send an initial notification to a system integrated circuit using a first communication channel, and deactivate the first communication based on responses to the initial notification. The processor may enter the first new power state in response to the deactivation of the first communication channel, and send a final notification to a management controller using a second communication channel. The management controller may send a message to the system integrated circuit upon receiving the final notification. The system integrated circuit may then transition from a second initial power state to a second new power state based on the message.
