  • Patent number: 11683201
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for cloning a set of one or more applications implemented by a first set of machines connected through a first logical network that defines a virtual private cloud (VPC) in a set of one or more datacenters. The method detects that the first logical network does not have sufficient resources to process a set of network traffic destined for the set of one or more applications implemented by the first set of machines. Based on said detecting, the method uses a set of network configuration data that configures a set of logical forwarding elements (LFEs) of the first logical network to define a cloned, second logical network for connecting a cloned, second set of machines that implement a second set of one or more applications. The method uses the cloned, second logical network to process at least a subset of the network traffic destined to the set of applications.

  • Publication number: 20230147562
Abstract: Systems, methods, and mechanisms for a privacy enhanced basic service set (BSS), including privacy enhancements for both access points and wireless stations as well as privacy enchantments for authentication, association, and discovery operations. Further, the systems, methods, and mechanisms disclosed may continue to support legacy wireless stations and are thus, backward compatible. A station may communicate with a legacy BSS of a wireless network to transition to a PE BSS of the wireless network. The station may receive, from the PE BSS of the wireless network, an encrypted beacon, wherein the encrypted beacon is decoded based on information received from the legacy BSS and perform, with the PE BSS of the wireless network, an encrypted handshake procedure to authenticate and associate with the PE BSS of the wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20230144992
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to light redirecting elements in solar energy absorption systems and envisages a light redirecting prism, a redirecting prismatic wall and a solar panel incorporating the same. The light redirecting prism has three elongate surfaces. The incident surface receives incident parallel rays of light. The redirecting surface performs total internal reflection of the light travelling from the incident surface through a predetermined range of angles and thus redirect the light. The transmitting surface transmits the redirected light at a predetermined angle out of the prism and directs the light towards a solar energy absorbing device. Further, a redirecting prismatic wall can be constructed to comprise redirecting prisms. The light redirecting prism or redirecting prismatic wall can be used in solar panels for enhancing quantum of light incident on the PV cell of the panel.

  • Patent number: 11641592
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing network connectivity of speech processing-enabled devices are provided. The speech-enabled device may periodically monitor a variety of metrics related to the network connectivity status of the device, and save those metrics in a local events log. The speech-enabled device may then periodically send those metrics to a remote speech processing management system. Users may then use voice commands to request the status of the speech-enabled device, and the speech-enabled device will send that request to the speech processing management system. The speech processing management system can then retrieve the historical metrics for that device and determine one or more inferences regarding the condition of the device. These inferences are used to diagnose potential network connectivity problems being experienced by the speech-enabled device, and to generate recommendations for remediating those problems.

  • Publication number: 20230131813
Abstract: A method for expedited inclusion of pre-authorized blockchain transactions in new blocks. A blockchain node will utilize a traditional pending transaction pool of unconfirmed transactions, but will also utilize a new transaction pool that is comprised of pending blockchain transactions that have been confirmed, but have not yet been added to the blockchain. When a new block is being generated by a node, they can select pending transactions from the confirmed transaction pool and include them in the new block without repeating the confirmation process, which can save time and computing resources, thereby enabling the new block to be generated faster and increasing the chance that the new block will be the one that is validated and added to the chain. Additional rules and criteria can be applied to ensure that transactions that are in the confirmed transaction pool are added to a new block in a timely fashion.
