  • Patent number: 7527270
Abstract: A machine tool arbor for holding a rotating machine part or workpiece is fitted with an actuator member at a back or distal end of an arbor main body for tool-less chucking and unchucking of a machine part or workpiece at a front or proximate end of the arbor main body. An actuator ring or knob is mounted at the back end of the arbor main body which, when rotated in one direction, causes an pusher member (collet pusher part, hydraulic piston) to move in such a manner as to displace a chuck member (inclined collet, flex collet, expansion ring) and release the machine part or workpiece that is chucked. When rotated in the opposite direction, the actuator knob causes the actuator member to move in an opposite manner as to fix the chuck member in a position to firmly hold the machine part or workpiece to be chucked.

  • Patent number: 7501188
Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device having an emission layer, which is constructed with a host, a phosphorescence emission molecule as a dopant, and a fluorescence supporter. The fluorescence supporter receives energy from the host or traps energy directly, and then transfers the energy to the dopant or self-emits light. An emission spectrum of the fluorescence supporter and an absorption spectrum of the phosphorescence emission molecule overlap partly or completely. The organic electroluminescent device has improved luminous efficiency and color purity characteristics in comparison with a conventional organic electroluminescent device having an emission layer, which is composed of a phosphorescent dopant and a host. This system is useful in the manufacture of, in particular, blue emission devices.

  • Publication number: 20080168640
Abstract: In a gear burnishing system having burnishing gear positions arranged around a subject gear at its center, a burnishing gear is formed as a scraper gear retained on a shaft rotationally by a keyway formed in an inner bore of the scraper gear which is wider by a predefined gap than a corresponding key formed on the shaft such that the scraper gear can move angularly by a small amount for maximum contact on the subject gear. In a preferred embodiment, a number of scraper gears are arranged in a stack on the shaft. Both ends of each scraper gear are beveled along the peripheral edges to cause each tooth to be raked and to create knife blades and serve to trap debris. Each tooth is formed with equal blade angles and a recess with compound angles for debris entrapment. The scraper gears can be mounted with bearings for limited gimbal movement to assure following the subject gear.
