  • Publication number: 20200103521
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to enhancing virtual reality safety. A virtual reality (VR) boundary associated with a VR system can be determined, the VR boundary dictating a safe play area for a VR user using the VR system. A location of a first device can be determined. A determination can be made that the location of the first device is within the VR boundary. In response to a determination that the first device is within the VR boundary, the VR user can be alerted that the first device entered the VR boundary.

  • Publication number: 20190249920
Abstract: The invention relates to a grid voltage-operated refrigerating device, in particular an ultra-low-temperature refrigerating device, comprising a refrigerator door (2) which has a closure lever (22) that is pivotally hinged between an open position and a locked position and comprising locking means (24) which are paired with the closure lever, have an electric motor-actuated and/or electromagnetically actuated locking element (26) and lock or release the pivoting of the closure lever depending on a code actuation that can be entered by an operator using a code input unit (20). The locking means and the code input unit are paired with an electronic control unit (14) and grid voltage-independent battery buffering means (13) such that in response to a grid voltage outage, the code actuation and a release for a specified minimum period of time are made possible without a grid voltage supply.

  • Publication number: 20170236081
Abstract: A system and methods for generating an interaction-weighted visualization of an organization or group, with the relationships between members being based on or weighted by the amount, type, degree, or significance of interactions between them and the flow of communications between members, etc. In some embodiments, this may have the form of a tree structure with nodes representing employees being connected by branches. The size, color, or number of branches may indicate characteristics of the interactions between the connected nodes (e.g., the frequency, importance, or topic of the interactions, etc.). For some purposes this provides a more accurate and realistic view of how information and communications move within an organization. It may also be used to provide insight into the strength of certain relationships, the degree of involvement of certain people or groups in implementing policies or in making decisions, or the relative importance of certain communication channels.

  • Patent number: 9189533
Abstract: Embodiments described herein may involve enabling applications to cooperate with a system-level sync framework. The sync framework may provide system synchronization of files between user devices and a cloud storage service. Arbitrary applications on a user computing device can communicate with the sync framework to temporarily suspend synchronization of a specified file by the sync framework. The application can register functions with the sync framework that the sync framework can invoke in relation to suspending synchronization, continuing to provide system-level access to the file for arbitrary applications, and resuming synchronization.

  • Patent number: 8461853
Abstract: A test vessel assembly comprises a central test vessel defining a chamber in which a sample to be tested may be stored. A pair of side adjustable electrodes is received in the chamber and immersed in the sample under test to determine the breakdown voltage of the sample. A gap between the electrodes can be adjusted by respective electrode adjusting moved in and out of the test vessel by rotation of an associated adjusting wheel. To prevent the breakdown in air rather than in the sample, care is taken to ensure sufficiently large creepage and clearance distances between the connections to the electrodes and from the connections to the electrodes to a wall of the test chamber. To this end, the adjusting wheels include convolutions that mesh with corresponding convolutions in the test vessel.

  • Publication number: 20110285413
Abstract: A test vessel assembly (10) comprises a central test vessel 12 defining a chamber 18 in which a sample to be tested may be stored. A pair of side adjustable electrodes 30, 30a is received in the chamber and immersed in the sample under test. A gap between the electrodes can be adjusted by respective electrode adjusting assemblies, each comprising a shaft 32 connected to a respective electrode, the shaft being moved in and out of the test vessel 12 by rotation of an associated adjusting wheel 60. In use, each electrode 30, 30a is electrically connected to a contact in an insulated horn of a test assembly via the respective shafts, for the supply of a steadily increasing voltage to determine the breakdown voltage of the sample. To prevent the breakdown in air rather than in the sample, care is taken to ensure sufficiently large creepage and clearance distances between the connections to the electrodes and from the connections to the electrodes to a wall of the test chamber.
