Patent number: 10798157Abstract: Technologies for function as a service (FaaS) arbitration include an edge gateway, multiple endpoint devices, and multiple service providers. The edge gateway receives a registration request from a service provider that is indicative of an FaaS function identifier and a transform function. The edge gateway verifies an attestation received from the service provider and registers the service provider. The edge gateway receives a function execution request from an endpoint device that is indicative of the FaaS function identifier. The edge gateway selects the service provider based on the FaaS function identifier, programs an accelerator with the transform function, executes the transform function with the accelerator to transform the function execution request to a provider request, and submits the provider request to the service provider. The service provider may be selected based on an expected service level included in the function execution request. Other embodiments are described and claimed.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2018Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Francesc Guim Bernat, Ned Smith, Kshitij Doshi, Alexander Bachmutsky, Suraj Prabhakaran

Patent number: 10798322Abstract: A pixel array within an integrated-circuit image sensor is exposed to light representative of a scene during a first frame interval and then oversampled a first number of times within the first frame interval to generate a corresponding first number of frames of image data from which a first output image may be constructed. One or more of the first number of frames of image data are evaluated to determine whether a range of luminances in the scene warrants adjustment of an oversampling factor from the first number to a second number, if so, the oversampling factor is adjusted such that the pixel array is oversampled the second number of times within a second frame interval to generate a corresponding second number of frames of image data from which a second output image may be constructed.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2018Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: Rambus Inc.Inventors: Craig M. Patent number: 10796873Abstract: Devices and systems are provided that incorporate fusible links within the electrical traces of a battery module voltage sensing circuit. The fusible links can be integrally formed in an electric trace and provide an overcurrent protection feature for the circuit without requiring fuse elements or components that are separate from the electrical trace. Each of these fusible links include a substantially flat controlled cross-sectional area disposed along a length of the material making up the electrical trace. In an overcurrent situation, the connection between a battery management system and a battery cell may be severed by the overcurrent melting the fusible link. The electrical traces may be spaced apart from one another in the circuit such that an overcurrent situation breaking the connection between one cell and the battery management system would not affect adjacent electrical traces not having an overcurrent situation.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2017Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: NIO USA, Inc.Inventors: Stephen C. Patent number: 10794742Abstract: A fluid sensing system includes a sensing element having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The system also includes a switch which is switchable between an open position which prevents current from passing and a closed position which permits current to pass. An inductor is connected electrically in series between the switch electric output and the sensing element and a diode is connected electrically in series between the sensing element and the inductor such that an output of the diode is between the switch and the inductor. A hysteretic controller changes the switch from the open position to the closed position when current passing to the sensing element falls to a lower current threshold and changes the switch from the closed position to the open position when current passing to the sensing element rises to an upper current threshold. A voltmeter measures voltage across the sensing element.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2019Date of Patent: October 6, 2020Assignee: DELPHI TECHNOLOGIES IP LIMITEDInventors: James J. Blagrave, Brian J.
