  • Publication number: 20250209661
Abstract: The disclosed techniques provide enhanced eye tracking systems utilizing joint estimation of biological parameters and hardware parameters. A system uses joint estimation of biological parameters, e.g., direction and position of an eye, with concurrent estimation of hardware parameters, e.g., camera position or camera direction, to self-calibrate and provide eye tracking estimations to accommodate for deformations and other changes of a device. Sensor data is used to select hardware parameters of a camera for use in the joint estimation with the biological parameters, where the hardware parameters are estimated based on glint and pupil position of a user. The disclosed techniques include a method to model changes of a device, as well as detect and compensate for them while the eye-tracking device is in normal use, without requiring a factory-calibration procedure to be repeated.

  • Publication number: 20250211466
Abstract: Devices, systems, methods, and processes for calibration of group delay effects in ranging measurements such as Time of Flight are described herein. Typically, ranging measurements suffer from group delay variation (GDV) caused due to propagation through a communication channel, filters, antenna, or the like. Therefore, calibration of a transmitting device and a receiving device may be performed to offset the GDV. The transmitting device may generate a channel sounding request including a multicarrier modulated signal and transmit to a receiving device via a communication channel. Each subcarrier of the multicarrier modulated signal may suffer a time delay while propagating through the communication channel. The receiving device may determine corresponding phase response of each subcarrier to determine the GDV information. The receiving device may transmit the GDV information to the transmitting device, which can generate an equalizer based on the GDV information, to calibrate one or more ToF measurements.

  • Publication number: 20250207666
Abstract: An assembly configuration prevents eddy or other electrical currents from flowing through the bearings that support relative motion of two components by incorporation of a sealing element that includes an electrically conductive additive material, thereby providing a conductive pathway to shunt the electrical currents externally from the bearings or around the bearings. The sealing element is therefore a two-function sealing element that seals the system components and additionally shunts the electrical currents externally from or around the bearings to prevent current flow through the bearings. A material of the contacting sealing element is electrically conductive, and in this manner, the sealing element is sufficiently electrically conductive to provide an electrically conductive path between the two components to shunt the eddy currents around the bearings.

  • Publication number: 20250212254
Abstract: Embodiments herein employ changes to the physical layer of an RTS/CTS protocol to preempt a pending TxOp so that a higher priority TxOp can occupy the wireless network. In the protocol, the AP sends out a physical frame containing an RTS frame indicating that it allows its TxOp to be preempted by a station having a TxOp with higher priority. The physical frame containing the RTS frame can give the indication in various ways. In some embodiments, the RTS can be an MU-RTS, which allows multiple stations to preempt the TxOp. In response to the RTS, one or more stations send a physical frame containing a CTS frame indicating that at least one station will preempt the TxOp. Upon receiving the physical frame containing the CTS frame, the AP yields to the preempting station or stations.

  • Publication number: 20250212189
Abstract: The embodiments herein supplement a coordinated access point (AP) scheme (such as Multi-AP Coordination (MAPC) with C-(O) FDMA) with a protocol that determines sub-channel/resource unit (RU) allocations for each AP in a coordinated group (CG) on a per-station (STA) basis. A group leader for the CG can receive channel information from the STAs (which is forwarded to the group leader from the APs in the CG). Using this information, the group leader can assign RUs to the STAs to divide up the bandwidth of the wireless medium shared by the APs in the CG.
