  • Publication number: 20220253316
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for duplicate detection for register renaming. For example, a method includes checking a map table for duplicates of a first physical register, wherein the map table stores entries that each map an architectural register of an instruction set architecture to a physical register of a microarchitecture and a duplicate is two or more architectural registers that are mapped to a same physical register; and, responsive to a duplicate of the first physical register in the map table, preventing the first physical register from being added to a free list upon retirement of an instruction that renames an architectural register that was previously mapped to the first physical register to a different physical register, wherein the free list stores entries that indicate which physical registers are available for renaming.

  • Publication number: 20220256647
Abstract: An edge computing system configured to dynamically offload tasks from a user device to an edge device. The edge computing system may receive a processed sensory feed from the user device, analyze the received processed sensory feed, and generate mapper output results. The edge computing system may compare the generated mapper output results to information received from a datastore, identify a correlation between a feature included in the received processed sensory feed and a feature included in the received information, and determine whether a confidence value associated with the identified correlation exceeds a threshold value. The edge computing system may further process the received processed sensory feed locally in the edge computing system or send the received processed sensory feed to a cloud component for further processing based on whether the confidence value exceeds the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20220253943
Abstract: This technology relates to providing a web-based digital claims platform to provide users with a simple and customized experience when filing insurance claims. The platform is enabled by a plurality of back-end application programming interface (API) resources. These API resources are event-driven (e.g., when an “event” associated with the claim occurs, the status of the claim changes and the API is provided with updated information indicative of the change). The platform includes a customized user interface (UI) that tailors the claim experience to a particular user's needs. The customization can be based off of stated user preferences and/or learned user preferences associated with the user's past behavior. A user can perform/request various services through the customized UI's self-service function (e.g., rent a car, find a hotel room, select a repair shop, etc.). Additionally, the customized UI can enable the user upload documents, track claim status, find relevant help topics, etc.

  • Publication number: 20220255861
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for introducing entropy in a Converged Interconnect Network. For instance, a remote physical layer device (RPD) can receive a first plurality of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses that are assigned to the RPD. The RPD can receive, from a Converged Cable Access Platform Core (CCAP-Core) device, a first data packet having a first destination IP address selected from the first plurality of IP addresses. The RPD can receive, from the CCAP-Core device, a second data packet having a second destination IP address selected from the first plurality of IP addresses. In some examples, a difference between the first destination IP address and the second destination IP address can cause a router disposed between the CCAP-Core device and the RPD to select a first route for the first data packet and a second route for the second data packet.

  • Publication number: 20220252660
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for detecting failed back-drills in PCBs in the process of fabricating a PCB so that the failed back-drill can be screened out or repaired. The present invention accomplishes this by adding a short to ground connection for every back-drill via that will be cut when the back-drill removes the via stub. If the back-drill is bad or failed the short to ground will fail the subsequent electrical tests. The PCB can be repaired by re-drilling the hole or via. The present invention allows for detecting failed back-drills with easy detection in the manufacturing stage using standard equipment and test procedures. This process creates a simple pass-fail measurement that uses an existing common test process to catch failed back drills in the PCB fabrication facility. This allows for easy and cost-effective repair and guarantees back-drill failures do not pass into the field.

  • Patent number: 11411305
Abstract: A multiple-antenna positioning system with a single drive element, providing reduced weight and complexity over systems that have a drive element for each antenna. In certain examples, each antenna can be coupled with a rotating spindle, with each antenna spindle being coupled with a pair of link arms. By driving a single drive spindle, each of the antenna spindles in the system can be rotated by the associated pair of link arms. The link arms can have an adjustable length, such as through a turnbuckle mechanism, to reduce backlash in the system, and in some examples can apply a preload to the system. By reducing backlash, the multiple antenna positioning system can have improved responsiveness to a rotation of the single drive element, as well as improved stability of the positioning of each antenna when the drive element is held in a fixed position.
