  • Patent number: 8055707
Abstract: Information from communications is displayed in a calendar format. Text from the communications is used to determine whether a scheduling entry should be created. If so, text from the communication is used to create a proposed calendar or to-do list entry, which can be saved, modified or canceled by the user. Information from a call log can be filtered and displayed in a calendar format.

  • Publication number: 20110071249
Abstract: A fast-drying ink composition comprising water, a fast-drying solvent mixture including a hydrophilic co-solvent having low enthalpy of evaporation, a surface-active humectant, and a colorant. The hydrophilic co-solvent may be selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol n-propyl ether, tripropylene glycol methyl ether, and dipropylene glycol methyl ether. The surface-active humectant may comprise a hydrophobic end having a repeating unit ā€œnā€ ranging from 1 to 36 and selected from the group consisting of alkane-based (CH2)n, fluoro-based (CF2)n, and silicone-based (SiO)n, and a hygroscopic end having a repeating unit ā€œiā€ ranging from 2 to 8 and selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, an amine group, a carboxyl group and an ester group.

  • Patent number: 7720213
Abstract: A phone (12) identifies the nature of a desired communication by receiving data related to a purpose of the communication from parsers (26) and comparing the data to predetermined criteria specified by filters (24). A ring tone is selected from a set of ring tone responsive to the comparison. The ring tone could provide either audio or tactile stimulation, or both. Tactile stimulation could be provided, for example through different vibration patterns. Alternatively, a graphic may be shown responsive to the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20060156251
Abstract: System and method for providing feature customization for a communications device based on an active communications system are described. One embodiment is a method in a voice terminal for customizing applications in response to an active call comprising assigning at least one category to each of a plurality of entries in an application file; determining a category associated with an active call; a and reconfiguring a GUI of the application to highlight a display of entries associated with the category associated with the active call. Another embodiment is a method of customizing a desktop of a computer system in response to an outgoing call from the computer system comprising determining a context of the outgoing call; activating at least one of a plurality of desktop customization units based on the determined context; and responsive to the activating, customizing the desktop in accordance with the determined context.

  • Publication number: 20040032832
Abstract: A technique for determining the shortest path between an ingress node and an egress node in a digital network is described. In a first half of a search loop of a Simultaneous Immediate Neighbor (“SIN”) comparison scheme, a list of immediate neighbors of the ingress node (the “INL”) is determined. In a second half of the search loop, a list of immediate neighbors of the egress node (the “ENL”) is determined. Each node maintains a flag indicating whether it has been included in an INL or ENL and a variable indicating by which node it was included. The method terminates when one side detects a node flagged by the opposite side, in which case the shortest path is determined, or when the INL or the ENL is empty. A set of m successive INLs and n successive ENLs (where m and n are non-zero integer values) are computed in sequence until the method terminates.
