  • Publication number: 20240028879
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and model-free methods for perturbing neural network hardware parameters and measure the neural network response that are implemented natively within the neural network hardware and without requiring a knowledge of the internal structure of the network. Embodiments of the present invention also relate to systems and methods for configuring neural network hardware such that the network automatically performs parameter multiplexed gradient descent, which include adding a time-varying perturbation to each hardware parameter base value to modulate the cost, broadcasting the modulated cost signal to all hardware parameters, and filtering out modulations so as to extract gradient information.

  • Publication number: 20240019688
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a micro-electro-mechanical mirror device having a fixed structure defining an external frame delimiting a cavity, a tiltable structure extending into the cavity, a reflecting surface carried by the tiltable structure and having a main extension in a horizontal plane, and an actuation structure coupled between the tiltable structure and the fixed structure. The actuation structure is formed by a first pair of actuation arms causing rotation of the tiltable structure around a first axis parallel to the horizontal plane. The actuation arms are elastically coupled to the tiltable structure through elastic coupling elements and are each formed by a bearing structure and a piezoelectric structure. The bearing structure of each actuation arm is formed by a soft region of a first material and the elastic coupling elements are formed by a bearing layer of a second material, the second material having greater stiffness than the first material.

  • Publication number: 20240011150
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for forming a patterned layer of carbon are disclosed. In one arrangement, a selected portion of a surface of a solid structure is irradiated with extreme ultraviolet radiation in the presence of a carbon-containing precursor. The radiation interacts with the solid structure in the selected portion to cause formation of a layer of carbon in the selected portion from the carbon-containing precursor. The layer of carbon is formed in a pattern defined by the selected portion.

  • Patent number: 11869089
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for analyzing a vehicle trip is presented. The method may include obtaining a wireless communication address of a vehicle of an insured driver. One or more processors may determine whether the wireless communication address corresponds to one of one or more known vehicles associated with an insured driver. Responsive to determining that the wireless communication address corresponds to one of the one or more known vehicles associated with the insured driver, the one or more processors may collect a plurality of vehicle telematics data during the vehicle trip. The one or more processors may also analyze the plurality of vehicle telematics data to determine at least one driving behavior of the insured driver.

  • Publication number: 20230414786
Abstract: The present methods use gene therapy to confer inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression solely in the tumor space, using focused ultrasound targeting. NOS catalyzes the reaction that generates nitric oxide (NO), a potent endogenous vasodilator. Microbubble-mediated non-viral delivery overcomes major barriers associated with non-viral NO gene therapy. The methods increase tumor perfusion and compound the efficacy of a vast array of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immune-based treatments.
