  • Publication number: 20030230234
Abstract: In the method of forming fine patterns of a semiconductor integrated circuit, a mask layer is formed over a semiconductor structure having a first region and a second region. A portion of the mask layer over the first region is removed to expose the semiconductor structure, and sacrificial layer patterns are formed over the exposed semiconductor structure. Then, spacers are formed on sidewalls of the sacrificial layer patterns and the mask layer, and portions of the spacers are removed to create fine mask patterns. The semiconductor structure is then patterned using the fine mask patterns to create fine patterns.

  • Patent number: 6661492
Abstract: The present invention discloses an IPS LCD device. The IPS LCD device according to the present invention implements a plurality of transparent common and pixel electrodes. Since the plurality of common and pixel electrodes are made from the transparent material on the same plane, the IPS LCD device has a high aperture ratio, a high brightness quality, and therefore a low power consumption. In another aspect, the IPS LCD device according to the present invention implements overlapped data line and outermost common electrode. To form the overlapped data line and outermost common electrode, an organic passivation layer is used such that cross talk between the data line and the outermost common electrode is prevented. Then, because the overlapped data line and outermost common electrode serve as a black matrix such that no black matrix is needed. Therefore, an aperture ratio of the IPS LCD device is further improved.

  • Publication number: 20030224786
Abstract: A base station controller (BSC) performs a handoff of a mobile terminal (MT) moving between cells of base transceiver stations (BTSs) in a mobile communication system. If a target BTS is selected as a handoff candidate for the MT as the MT moves from a cell of a source BTS in service toward a cell of the target BTS, the BSC transmits to the target BTS a first message for requesting the target BTS to buffer packets, and transmits packets to be transmitted to the MT to both the source BTS and the target BTS. If the target BTS is determined as a serving BTS for the MT, the BSC transmits to the target BTS a second message including a last sequence number in order to request the target BTS to transmit, to the MT, packets with sequence numbers following the last sequence number of a last packet transmitted from the source BTS to the MT, among the buffered packets.

  • Patent number: 6657192
Abstract: In a method for determining the degree of charge-up induced by plasma used for manufacturing a semiconductor device and an apparatus therefor, a predetermined region on a surface of a wafer on which a plasma process has been performed is repeatedly scanned with a primary electron beam. Secondary electrons generated by a reaction between the primary electron beam and the surface of the wafer that are emitted to the outside of the surface of the wafer are collected. The degree of charge-up induced at the surface of the wafer by the plasma used during the plasma process is determined from the change in the amount of collected secondary electrons. Determination as to whether a contact hole is opened or as to the degree of degradation of a gate insulating layer is made based on the degree of charge-up.
