  • Publication number: 20170337300
Abstract: A user or other source may specify one or more components in logical design data, such as schematic netlist design data. Based upon the provided logical component, portions of the physical design data that correspond to the logical component are selected. The selected physical design data corresponding to the specified logical component is then compared with a defined geometric element pattern, to determine if the corresponding physical design data matches the defined pattern. The results of the match analysis can be reported to a user as visual images, new design data, or both. Alternately or additionally, the selected physical design data may be modified based upon the results of the match analysis.

  • Publication number: 20170316052
Abstract: An analytics system for providing an interface for supporting analytics processing of data of a data store is provided. The system receives an analytics data model and a mapping of a data model to the analytics data model. The system initializes a data store that supports the analytics data model by extracting data from the data store and storing the extracted data in the analytics data store based on the mapping. Upon receiving a notification of a change to data of the data store, the system updates the data of the analytics data store as indicated by the mapping. The system receives, via an analytics interface, a query based on the analytics data model and converts the query into a store query. The system submits the store query to the analytics query engine to generate a query result and provides the query result as the result of the query.

  • Patent number: 9785736
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosed technology relate to techniques of connectivity-aware reduction of layout data. With various implementations of the disclosed technology, circuit elements of interest are selected in a circuit design which includes netlist information and layout data. Based at least on pins for the circuit elements of interest, the circuit elements of interest, or both, nets of interest are determined. Cells of interest, comprising cells that are identified based at least on pins for the circuit elements of interest, the circuit elements of interest, or both, are then determined. Based on the nets of interest and the cells of interest, layout geometric elements are selected and may be analyzed for design verification. For electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection verification, the cells of interest may further comprise cells that include portions of power supply grids on top metal layers.

  • Patent number: 9774852
Abstract: Various techniques and tools for encoding and decoding (e.g., in a video encoder/decoder) binary information (e.g., skipped macroblock information) are described. In some embodiments, the binary information is arranged in a bit plane, and the bit plane is coded at the picture/frame layer. The encoder and decoder process the binary information and, in some embodiments, switch coding modes. For example, the encoder and decoder use normal, row-skip, column-skip, or differential modes, or other and/or additional modes. In some embodiments, the encoder and decoder define a skipped macroblock as a predicted macroblock whose motion is equal to its causally predicted motion and which has zero residual error. In some embodiments, the encoder and decoder use a raw coding mode to allow for low-latency applications.

  • Publication number: 20160373780
Abstract: Techniques and tools for video coding/decoding with motion resolution switching and sub-block transform coding/decoding are described. For example, a video encoder adaptively switches the resolution of motion estimation and compensation between quarter-pixel and half-pixel resolutions; a corresponding video decoder adaptively switches the resolution of motion compensation between quarter-pixel and half-pixel resolutions. For sub-block transform sizes, for example, a video encoder adaptively switches between 8x8, 8x4, and 4x8 DCTs when encoding 8×8 prediction residual blocks; a corresponding video decoder switches between 8×8, 8×4, and 4×8 inverse DCTs during decoding.

  • Patent number: 9479796
Abstract: A video codec provides for encoding and decoding pictures of a video sequence at various coded resolutions, such that pictures can be encoded at lower coded resolutions based on bit rate or other constraints while maintaining a consistent display resolution. The video codec employs a coding syntax where a maximum coded resolution is signaled at the sequence level of the syntax hierarchy, whereas a lower coded resolution is signaled at the entry point level for a segment of one or more intra-coded frames and frames predictively encoded based thereon. This allows the use of a separate out-of-loop resampler after the decoder to up-sample the pictures to the display resolution.

  • Publication number: 20160307129
Abstract: A virtual environment service obtains automatically collected diagnostic information from a deployed instance of a computer system and automatically generates a reproduction of an environment of the instance of the computer system, based upon the collected diagnostic data. User interactions with the virtual diagnostic environment can be recorded to identify a technical issue with the deployed instance of the computer system. A fix for the issue is applied in the virtual diagnostic environment so that it can be verified by the user prior to applying it to the deployed instance.

  • Publication number: 20160301751
Abstract: In various embodiments, methods and systems for enhanced access to storage data based on a collaboration data proxy system are provided. A plurality of metadata tables on one or more peer nodes are referenced for data corresponding to a data request of a requesting node. The metadata tables indicate availability of chunks of data in the one or more peer nodes. A determination is made that the data corresponding to the data request is downloadable from the one or more node; the determination is based on the metadata tables. A download operation configuration instance is generated for a data request of a requesting node. The download operation configuration instance comprises configuration settings for downloading data corresponding to the data request from the one or more peer nodes. The chunk of data is downloaded from the corresponding one or more peer nodes where the chunk is located, using the configuration settings.

  • Publication number: 20160275189
Abstract: A search user input mechanism is displayed on a user interface display. User actuation of the search user input mechanism is detected, to identify a query for a navigation structure that identifies an entry point into an application in the computing system. A path navigation hierarchy is searched to identify the entry point and the path in the navigation hierarchy where the entry point is located. A navigable search result is displayed to the user for actuation, to navigate to the entry point.

  • Publication number: 20160275064
Abstract: A user interaction is detected that identifies an environment from which data is to be pulled for deployment in a solution represented by a solution package. Setup data is automatically extracted from an instance of an application that is to be replaced by the solution. An editable representation of the setup data is displayed for user configuration or modification. Application data is then extracted from the instance of the application according to the setup data, including any user modifications represented in the editable representation.

  • Publication number: 20160274906
Abstract: Package configuration user input mechanisms are displayed to a user and are actuated to pre-configure a solution package, that is a customized form of a base computing system, to be a pre-configured industry-specific package. The pre-configured package can be transmitted to a distribution system, where it is verified and can be accessed by end user organizations. A customized solution package can be prepared, from the pre-configured package, for deployment based on a structure of the end user organization. Data packages can be generated from a source system at the end user organization and linked to the customized solution package that is deployed at the end user organization.

  • Publication number: 20160275647
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for efficiently organizing images in a display. A size of an image is scaled by an image scale factor, while an aspect ratio for the image is maintained, where the image scale factor comprises a combination of a first scale distance and a second scale distance. The scaled image is filled into a first display line, if the size of the scaled image is not greater than an amount of display space remaining in the first display line; otherwise the scaled image is filled into a second display line. The image is expanded to mitigate white space in the display after the scaling, while maintaining the image's aspect ratio. This can be performed for a collection of images presented on a display to provide an enhanced user experience.
