  • Patent number: 10764266
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides solutions for performing rapid authentication and authorization for distributed containerized microservices. In some aspects, a process of the technology can include steps for: associating a service type with a set of microservices or service pods, detecting deployment of a first microservice on a first host, and receiving an authentication and authorization state from a first virtual network edge (VNE) of the first host. In some aspects, the process can further include steps for distributing the authentication state to a second VNE on a second host, wherein the authentication state is configured to facilitate authentication of one or more subsequent microservices instantiated on the second host by the second VNE. Systems and machine readable media are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200177731
Abstract: A platform can receive information regarding a user interaction, wherein the user interaction is associated with one or more channels that correspond to respective interfaces or media for the user interaction; retrieve supplemental information associated with the user interaction, wherein the supplemental information relates to at least one of: a state of a managed device associated with the user interaction, or a previous user interaction; identify, based on the information regarding the user interaction or the one or more channels, one or more models to process the information regarding the user interaction and the supplemental information, wherein the one or more models are identified from a plurality of models; determine, using the one or more models, an action to be performed with regard to the user interaction; and provide information identifying the action.

  • Publication number: 20020138395
Abstract: A method is provided for clients to receive services that match client-desired attributes. In an aspect, attributes and comparison operators submitted by a client and a service are compared using a comparison function. In an aspect, the data type and/or the context of the client attribute and the service attribute differ, the service attribute is tagged and a pointer directs a broker to a uniform resource identifier (URI). The URI refers to a specialized comparison function that can properly compare the differing client attribute and service attribute, the specialized comparison function maintained current by the service.

  • Publication number: 20020087366
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for a tentative-hold-based protocol for distributed transaction processing. According to one embodiment, a distributed transaction coordinator receives information regarding an atomic distributed transaction representing an aggregation of multiple discrete transactions for resource items that span two or more network resources. The distributed transaction coordinator places a tentative hold on each of the resource items by causing a tentative hold record to be created and associated with each of the discrete transactions. The tentative holds operate in a non-mutually exclusive manner, thereby allowing the same resource item to be tentatively held by more than one transaction.

  • Patent number: 6046375
Abstract: A method of forming reactive oxygen species by solubilizing a metal ion from a metal oxy(hydr)oxide compound with an iron oxy(hydr)oxide solubilizing chelator to yield a first soluble metal ion chelate complex. The metal ion is transferred from the chelate complex to a free redox cycling chelator to form a second metal ion chelate complex which reduces the metal ion to a reduced metal species. The reduced metal species is reacted with an oxygen containing oxidant to yield a free redox cycling chelator and a reactive oxygen species. The reactive oxygen species may be used to oxidize a target substrate. The preferred metal ion is a cationic transition metal, such as iron or manganese. A preferred iron oxy(hydr)oxide solubilizing chelator is oxalic acid. The method is generally performed at acidic pH.
