  • Patent number: 10920706
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for estimating a physical stoppage of an engine of a motor vehicle, subject to bounce-back, a target equipped with teeth being borne by the crankshaft and successive passes of the teeth past a sensor being detected, a first time count incrementing since a last detection of the passing of a tooth and being associated with a first time threshold with the first count being reset to zero when the time between passes of two successive teeth is below the first threshold. A second count associated with a second time threshold is performed, with this count being suspended when and for as long as a time between the passes of two successive teeth is below the second threshold, the engine being estimated to have stopped as soon as the counts have respectively reached the first and second thresholds.

  • Patent number: 10864815
Abstract: A method for detecting combustion irregularities in a combustion engine coupled to an electric engine of a hybrid vehicle having a management unit for determining the respective powers to be supplied by these engines, and for delivering setpoint data dependent on these power distributions, including determining a threshold value corresponding to a percentage of the power supplied by the electric engine, such that values of this percentage less than or equal to the threshold value correspond to operation of the electric engine that is not liable to falsify the results of the combustion irregularity detection diagnostics, and, for the purpose of launching a diagnostic procedure, when the percentage of the power supplied by the electric engine is greater than the threshold value, delivering setpoint data suitable for fixing the value of the power percentage at a setpoint value less than the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200362786
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for detecting physical stoppage of an internal combustion engine, including: at least four cylinders, a set of cylinder pressure sensors, configured such that, over the course of a combustion cycle of the engine, there is at least one cylinder in the compression or expansion phase whose pressure is measured by a pressure sensor of the set, the method including the following steps: measuring the pressure in a cylinder in the compression or expansion phase, calculating, from the pressure measured in the cylinder, a ratio between a pressure variation in the cylinder and the pressure in the cylinder, and detecting a physical stoppage of the engine if the measured pressure is decreasing and if the calculated ratio is constant.

  • Publication number: 20110018683
Abstract: The identity of a user to be associated with a terminal adapted for communication in a communication network is managed. The network provides a service based on the identity of the user. A contactless transaction is established at the terminal with an identification entity. During the transaction, a piece of information on the identity of the user stored in the identification entity is received. Finally, the identity of the user obtained from said information is stored. The identity of the user is erased at the terminal when the terminal is subjected to a specific action.

  • Publication number: 20020097689
Abstract: To reduce interference between physically close base and mobile stations belonging to uncoordinated systems of different operators, in a cellular time division telecommunications system, e.g. the TDD mode of UMTS, a method of operation comprises providing a sequence of time frames, each time frame including a plurality of time slots, each time slot having an allocated uplink or downlink channel, wherein the positions of said time slots of said channels are changed in consecutive time frames of said sequence according to a deterministic sequence, e.g. a cyclic rotation. In an initial set up operation, the base station may instruct a mobile station to transmit or receive in certain time slots, and that these time slots should be changed in succeeding frames according to a predefined algorithm transmitted to the mobile station.
