  • Patent number: 4162321
Abstract: The invention relates to new dihydropyridines which are substituted by an amino group in at least one of the 2- and 6-positions, by a sulphur-containing substituent in the 3-position, by a cyclic substituent in the 4-position and by a carbonyl substituent in the 5-position. The new dihydropyridines are particularly useful as agents which influence the circulatory system. Also included in the invention are procedures for preparation of the new dehydropyridines, compositions containing them and methods for their use.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4110472
Abstract: N-Diphenylmethyl and o-biphenylenemethyl derivatives of 1-(disubstituted phenoxy)-3-amino-2-hydroxypropane and their salts are useful for combatting cerebrovascular insufficiency and producing psychostimulation in humans and other animals. The compounds, of which 1-(2-methoxy-4-allylphenoxy)-2-hydroxy-3-diphenylmethylamino-propane is a typical embodiment, can be prepared by a number of synthetic routes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 13, 1976
Date of Patent: August 29, 1978
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Rudolf Hiltmann, Arend Heise, Stanislav Kazda, Friedrich Hoffmeister
  • Patent number: 4044141
Abstract: 1,4-Dihydropyridines characterized by a carbo(arylalkoxy) group in the 5-position, an aryl group in the 4-position and a alkanoyl or carbalkoxy group in the 3-position and further optionally substituted in the 1,2 and 6-positions are coronary dilating, spasmolytic and hypotensive agents. The compounds, of which 2,6-dimethyl-3-carbomethoxy-4-(2-nitrophenyl)-5-carbobenzoxy-1,4-dihydropy ridine is a representative embodiment, are prepared through the reaction of an ylidene-.beta.-dicarbonyl compound, which may be generated in situ from the corresponding .beta.-dicarbonyl compound and an aldehyde, and an enaminocarboxylic acid ester, which may also be generated in situ from a .beta.-dicarbonyl compound and an amine.
