  • Patent number: 6328348
Abstract: A novel hose coupling for a liquid transfer system is provided. The coupling comprises a connector portion adapted to lockingly engage an adapter on a receptacle, such as a gas tank, and a handle portion. The handle is proximate to a releasing member which is oriented for manipulation by a hand holding the handle. The releasing member is moveable between a first engaged position in which the coupling is lockingly engaged with a receptacle adapter and a second disengaged position in which the coupling is released from locking engagement with the adapter. Accordingly, the coupling is disengaged from locking engagement with the adapter when the release member is displaced from the engaged position to the disengaged position. The coupling allows one-handed, ambidextrous use, providing a coupling operator with greater maneouverability which is advantageous particularly in instances where receptacle access is limited.

  • Patent number: 6155294
Abstract: A dry disconnect coupling for connecting one fluid conduit to another fluid conduit to form a continuous flow path, the coupling including a receptacle and a coupler, each being secured to a respective conduit or container. The receptacle and the coupler are secured and locked together to provide a connection for transfer of fluids. A poppet valve is provided and seated in each of the receptacle and the coupler for sealing a respective flow passageway therein when the coupling is uncoupled. The receptacle poppet valve and the coupler poppet valve can be unseated to permit flow of fluid through the coupling when the coupling is coupled and locked. The poppet valve of the receptacle has resilient annular seal member in its poppet sealing surface.

  • Patent number: 5926843
Abstract: A protective garment 10 for a limb, such as a limb of a horse, includes a covering 12 configured and dimensioned to wrap at least part way around the limb. A remoulded thermoplastic sheet 14 is retained within the covering 12. The covering 12 includes a front sheet 20 and a back sheet 22 which are fastened together about their periphery by a ribbon 24. The back sheet 22 is of a smaller size and the front sheet 20 is made of an elastic material. As a result, the bulk sheet 22 is in a stretched state when the garment 10 is unwrapped. When the garment 10 is applied to a limb, the back sheet 22 contracts onto the limb to form a substantial seal to prevent ingress of foreign material including water. The thermoplastic sheet 14 can be remoulded insitu, to a shape complimentary to a portion of the limb over which it is disposed. A foam sheet 28 is placed between the thermoplastic sheet 14 and back sheet 22 to provide improved cushioning and comfort.

  • Patent number: 5892203
Abstract: An apparatus for producing laminated integrated circuit cubes includes a hermetically sealable oven chamber. At least one conductive heating device is used to heat the cube to a cure temperature. A vacuum source is connected to the oven chamber to remove gas from between the integrated circuit layers prior to curing. A press device applies pressure to the cube while it is heated under vacuum. A cooling gas is circulated through the oven chamber after curing. A cooling fluid can also be circulated through cooling channels in at least one wall of the oven chamber to cool the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5772815
Abstract: A method for producing laminated integrated circuit cubes includes applying conductive heat to the cube using at least one conductive heating device. A vacuum is created around the cube to remove air and other gases from between the integrated circuit layers prior to curing. A force is applied to the cube while it is heated under vacuum. A cooling gas is then circulated over the cube. Temperature and force sensing can be performed, and the process can be controlled by programmable logic controllers and the like.
