  • Patent number: 9637102
Abstract: A brake system includes a brake pedal for actuating a master cylinder having two pistons and corresponding pressure chambers, where the system can be operated in a brake-by-wire mode and also a fallback mode. The system also includes a first electrically controllable pressure source and a second electrically controllable pressure source. The first and second electrically controllable pressure sources each have corresponding output flows that are connected together. • Patent number: 9365199
Abstract: A method and system for operating a motor vehicle brake system, actuated in a “Brake-by-Wire” operating mode both by the vehicle driver and also independent of the vehicle driver, preferably operated in the “Brake-by-Wire” operating mode, and which can be operated in at least one fall-back operating mode, in which only operation by the vehicle driver is possible. The brake system has an electrohydraulic pressure and volume setting device, which electronically emits a brake system pressure under control, and a pressure modulation unit having, for each wheel brake, inlet and outlet valves for setting wheel-specific brake pressures. For setting wheel-specific brake pressures, the inlet and outlet valves are actuated analogously by being energized by different electrical currents, in order to assign a pressurizing agent volume flow provided by the pressure and volume setting device to the wheel brakes that have a pressure change requirement.

  • Patent number: 9199618
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrohydraulic brake system for use in vehicles which can be braked by means of generator operation of an electric drive motor. The brake system comprises, inter alia, a brake booster and an electronic control unit which is provided for distributing the braking effect between a generative component or recuperation braking component and a friction braking component. In order to optimize the take-up of pressure medium, in particular during recuperation braking, the brake booster (6, 11, 15) is configured to be electrically actuated by the electronic control unit (10). The boosting force generated by the brake booster (6, 11, 15) is exerted as a function of variables relevant to the brake system.

  • Publication number: 20140150876
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure medium container for a hydraulic motor vehicle brake system, having a housing, a filler opening, a closure element and at least one hydraulic connection to the hydraulic pressure medium supply of the motor vehicle brake system. The problem of the present invention consists in reliably managing a fluctuating pressure medium filling level while nevertheless providing a container of minimal overall size and simplifying motor vehicle maintenance. The proposed solution is to provide a structurally predetermined defined volume reservoir for receiving a pressure medium, which can be rendered hydraulically effective by arranging the closure element on the filler opening.
