  • Patent number: 9579057
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to method of determining a treatment plan with Botulinum Toxin (BT) and other procedures able to modify facial expressions, the method includes using a series of facial images of a patient eliciting various expressions to select individual expressive features as candidates for modification, the selected expressive features mapping to muscles that are used to create such expressive features, the muscles mapping into related expressive features of facial images of the patient eliciting different expressions, the related expressive features being weighted so as to provide further information used in determining an optimum treatment dosing for each treatment location. In an illustrative example, the method may include mapping the facial image of the patient to a model image using facial markers. In an exemplary embodiment, the method may advantageously provide a treatment that results in optimum expressive features as revealed in many different expressions.

  • Publication number: 20160007785
Abstract: A drinking device comprising a first compartment to hold a first fluid, a second compartment to hold a second fluid independent of the first fluid, a vertical separation between the first and second compartments, a horizontal separation closing a part of the first compartment, an opening in the horizontal separation to allow flow of the first fluid, and a lip on an upper rim of the device and opposite to the horizontal separation and adjacent to the opening to allow ingestion of the first and second fluids. A method of oral delivery of a first fluid and a second fluid, said fluids having different taste flavors, comprising delivering the first fluid in a bolus head followed by delivering the second fluid in the bolus center, and then delivering the first fluid again in the bolus tail to mask the more unpleasant flavor.

  • Publication number: 20070036809
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for directing the immune response of an animal towards immunologically weak or rare antigens such as tumor antigens. The methods combine subtractive immunization with hyperimmunization and result in the controlled or directed production of target-specific antibodies, helper T cells (CD4+-T lymphocytes) and cytotoxic T cells (CD8+-T lymphocytes). Also provided by the present invention are untransformed and transformed cell lines, and growth media necessary to grow the untransformed cell line in a differentiated state. Monoclonal antibodies which react with different neoplastic cell lines and hybridomas producing such antibodies are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060258841
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an antigen found on the surface of rat and human pancreatic cancer cells and provides antibodies of high specificity and selectivity to this antigen as well as hybridomas secreting the subject antibodies. Methods for both the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer are also provided. This tissue marker of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, an approximately 43.5 kD surface membrane protein designated PaCa-Ag1, is completely unexpressed in normal pancreas but abundantly expressed in pancreatic carcinoma cells. Moreover, a soluble form of PaCa-Ag1 exists, having a molecular weight about 36 to about 38 kD, that is readily identified in sera and other body fluids of pancreatic cancer patients, using a subject antibody.
