  • Publication number: 20030183976
Abstract: This application relates to producing biaxially stretched tubular cellulose films for the food industry. In particular, the biaxial stretching is obtained by using rollers to stretch the casings longitudinally and to use increased air pressure inside the films to radially stretch the casings. The obtained product may also be cut to provide longitudinal strips for the production of smaller tubular films.

  • Publication number: 20020185288
Abstract: A hand held electrically powered hammer, comprising a housing, a motor, a hollow spindle within which is located for reciprocation therein a piston and a ram, and a casing which encloses at least part of the spindle so as to define a chamber between the spindle and the casing and wherein a damping mass is located within the chamber and is connected to the hammer housing via at least one spring element so as to oscillate back and forth along the spindle to minimise the vibration of the hammer housing, and also so as to generate air flows within the chamber for facilitating heat transfer from the spindle to the casing.

  • Patent number: 5513127
Abstract: A communication network control system includes facilities for data driven control of components attached to the network The network has an overall control function and each component has an individual control function. Common component control functions can be controlled via the overall control function straightaway. Uncommon component control functions are controlled via translation of subfunctions within the overall control function. Such translations are effected as required based upon information regarding individual component needs, which information is stored in a data model where it may be accessed and subsequently interpreted as part of the overall control function.

  • Patent number: 5368387
Abstract: A soap chip processor and dispenser apparatus including 1) a main housing assembly divided into a fluid dispensing area and a fluid mixing area; 2) a fluid dispenser assembly mounted within the fluid dispensing area; 3) a fluid mixer assembly mounted within the fluid mixing area; and 4) a compartment separator assembly mounted within the main housing assembly for separation into the fluid mixing area and the fluid dispensing area. The fluid dispenser assembly is provided with a dispensing plunger assembly to selectively pump a soap solution from the main housing assembly. The fluid mixer assembly includes a fluid agitator assembly operable to rotate a fluid mixer member to dissolve water and soap chips to form the soap solution which is dispensed through the fluid dispenser assembly. The soap chip processor and dispenser apparatus is provided with a power supply assembly utilizing rechargeable battery members for portable usage.

  • Patent number: 5351738
Abstract: For shielding a window area (2) in a wall or an inclined roof surface (3) a roller screen, e.g. an insect net (1), is provided which comprises a spring-biassed roller bar (9) at the upper edge of the opening (2) and a bottom bar (13) at the lower edge of a flexible screen web (1). The bottom bar (13) has guide members (17) slidable in guide rails (11, 12) having at the bottom a locking device for arresting the bottom bar (13). At either end of the bottom bar, the guide members include a guide member (17) and a subjacent roll (18) pivotally journalled in the bottom bar (13) so that, from a first position in which it is in axial alignment with the guide member, the roll may be swung to a locking position outside the path of movement of the guide member (17). The rolls (18) are functionally connected and biassed so that the first position and the locking position are stable switch-over positions.

  • Patent number: 5338245
Abstract: A giant gummy bear is provided which consists of a pre-molded stretchable bladder in a shape of a bear with a check valve for filling gelatin solution into the bladder. A nylon cloth skin with a bear face is placed about the bladder, so as to simulate a large gummy bear candy. In a first modification the bladder is transparent and the gelatin solution has colored glitter particles therein, so that the nylon cloth skin can be eliminated. In a second modification the nose has an aperture therethrough to the check valve, so that a pump nozzle can be inserted to allow the gelatin solution to be inserted into the bladder.

  • Patent number: 4667698
Abstract: A hydraulic distributor in the body of which there is provided a central hole and supply, a discharge, a working, and bypass conduits, said conduits being connected to the central hole. In central hole there is disposed a plunger which is provided with central and end rings. Between the rings there are shaped profile necks and in one of the ends of the plungers there is provided a bypass groove. The working conduits are arranged perpendicularly to the central hole in the distributor body, and non-return valves are disposed in them. The spaces formed by the profile necks in the walls of the central hole are interconnected by an auxiliary conduit. In one embodiment of the distributor, the auxliary conduit is provided in the central ring of the plunger. In another embodiment of the distributor, the auxiliary conduit is provided in the body of the distributor.

  • Patent number: 4532431
Abstract: Method of and device for producing electric energy from a cyclic combustion process. The device includes two oppositely disposed aligned spark ignited internal combustion engine cylinders axially spaced from each other, means rigidly connecting the pistons so that they reciprocate in unison in their respective cylinders, and a reciprocable electrical linear generator-motor unit driven by said reciprocatory piston system. The generator-motor unit includes a very light coreless (ironless) coil rigidly attached to and reciprocatory with the piston system, the said coil reciprocating through a constant strength magnetic field. The beginning of the combustion process (or cycle) in each combustion chamber takes place at the lowest possible compression ratio sufficient for the initial ignition of the fuel-air mixture, the combustion process proceeding at a diminishing volume under the pressure from the compression- and combustion-forces of the opposite combustion chamber-piston system.
