An example trigger apparatus for use with a firearm having a breech includes a latch moveable between a blocking position that blocks the breech and a non-blocking position that does not block the breech. The latch includes a sear arm, a spring assembly, and a securing element moveable between a first position and a second position. The spring assembly is to bias the securing element. In the first position, the securing element is positioned at a distance from the sear arm and a surface of a securing device in a securing position to enable the latch to be moved to the non-blocking position and the breech to retract relative to the weapon. In the second position, the securing element is positioned adjacent the sear arm via the breech and the surface of the securing device in the securing position to secure the latch in the blocking position.

  • Patent number: 8042450
Abstract: Safety apparatus for firearms are described. An example safety apparatus may be used with a firearm having a latch movable between a first position to retain a breech of the firearm and a second position to enable movement of the breech. The safety apparatus includes a biased safety mechanism coupled to the latch and movable between the first position and the second position. Additionally, the safety apparatus includes a safety device moveable between a locking position and a non-locking position. The safety device interacts with the biased safety mechanism when the safety device is in the locking position and the safety mechanism is in the first position to enable the biased safety mechanism to prevent a trigger force from moving the latch to the second position but to enable the latch to be deflected by a returning breech.

  • Patent number: 7802511
Abstract: Described herein are examples of firearms and firearm assemblies. In one example, a firearm assembly for use in a firearm including a breech block, includes safety equipment; a slide stop, wherein the slide stop is adjustable between an arresting position that locks the breech block and a position that does not lock the breech block; and a safety element adjustable relative to the slide stop between a neutral position and secured position, wherein in the secured position if the breech block exerts an operating force on the safety element and the safety element engages the safety equipment, the safety element fixes the slide stop in its arresting position.

  • Patent number: 7621210
Abstract: Gas bleed assemblies for use with firearms are described. An example gas bleed assembly for use with a firearm having a barrel includes a gas cylinder that defines at least one gas outlet to be fluidly coupled to a bore of a barrel. The gas cylinder is substantially fixed relative to the barrel. Additionally the example gas bleed assembly includes a holding fixture that is substantially fixed relative to a housing having a front edge. The holding fixture interacts with the at least one gas outlet. A temperature induced variation of geometry of the barrel changes a position of the gas cylinder relative to the holding fixture and wherein a pressure acting within the gas cylinder is associated with the position of the at least one gas outlet relative to the holding fixture.

  • Publication number: 20030014744
Abstract: For the automated version analysis of a software application, the version information of the respective software components is among the information entered in a reference list already during the installation of the software application on a data processing system by a setup program. This reference list is stored in the form of a file in a memory or in a configuration database of the data processing system. During a subsequent proper updating of the software application, the reference list associated with the software application is automatically updated. After creating a reference list, the method of automatic version analysis with respect to the software application installed on the data processing system compares the version information of the software components actually present on the data processing system with the respective version information in the reference list. The comparison information obtained by the comparison (differences or matches) is written into a comparison list.
