  • Patent number: 10894334
Abstract: An electrically-operated slice-cutting machine for cutting slices off—in particular, strand-shaped—material to be cut—preferably, food—includes: a machine housing which holds a drive motor and a rotating and/or circumferentially-movable cutting blade driven by the drive motor; a product feed for feeding the material to be cut to the cutting blade; a carrier plate; and a cutting frame arranged on the carrier plate and via which the material to be cut is fed to the cutting blade. The cutting frame is geometrically arranged such that the material to be cut is feedable by the product feed through the cutting frame to the cutting blade in an operating state of the slice-cutting machine. The slice-cutting machine has at least a first and a second lever element for releasably fixing the cutting frame, each of the two lever elements being transferrable from a holding position into a release position.

  • Patent number: 9429133
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for generating an ion current which occurs as a direct current between a central electrode and one or more side electrodes of a spark plug of a spark ignition engine which is supplied repeatedly with an ignition voltage from an ignition voltage source, wherein the spark ignition engine is assigned an engine control unit, which, in an engine cycle, determines for each spark plug a target ignition point and/or an activation point for the ignition voltage source before the target ignition point, and a second voltage source is provided, which delivers a second voltage for the generation of the ion current, wherein the second voltage source lying in the engine cycle for a first time interval ?t1, which is shorter than the duration of the engine cycle, is connected to the electrodes of the spark plug, and wherein the ion current flowing as a result of the application of the second voltage to the electrodes of the spark plug takes a path which avoids the ignition voltage source.

  • Patent number: 8627706
Abstract: A gas-measuring probe for determining a physical characteristic of a measuring gas, in particular the concentration of a gas component or the temperature or pressure of the measuring gas, which includes a sensor element accommodated in a housing, at least one connection cable for the sensor element having an electrical conductor, which is enclosed by an insulation sheath and contacts the sensor element, and a cable channel sealing the housing end, which has at least one axial cable feedthrough through which the connection cable is guided out of the housing. To achieve long-lasting sealing at the cable-exit end of the housing even at higher temperatures, the insulation sheath of the connection cable is at least regionally welded to the cable wall of the cable feedthrough. To this end, a tube made of a material that fuses with the insulation sheath and the cable channel when heated is slipped over the cable section of the connection cable lying inside the cable channel.

  • Patent number: 7810375
Abstract: A sensor, in particular a gas sensor for determining a physical characteristic of a measuring gas, in particular the temperature of the concentration of a gas component, in particular in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, includes a sensor element which protrudes with a gas-side end section from a sensor housing and having a double protecting tube, which encloses the gas-side end section, and has an outer tube and an inner tube. For improved protection of the sensor element against thermal shock, a reduction in the heating power for the sensor element, and sufficiently high dynamics of the sensor, a cup-shaped central protecting tube is placed over the gas-side end section, the central protecting tube being provided with gas passage apertures in the tube casing, the gas passage apertures being positioned offset to the tube bottom with respect to the gas passage apertures present in the inner tube.

  • Patent number: 7032438
Abstract: A pressure gauge glow plug for a diesel engine having a plug body, a heating element, and a pressure sensor, which is positioned under pretension between the heating element and the plug body in such a way that the pressure sensor experiences the pressure existing in the combustion chamber of the cylinder in which it is inserted. The heating element is positioned so that it may be slid in an axial direction in the plug body and transmits the pressure in the combustion chamber of the cylinder to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is positioned on a heating element support that is permanently bonded to the heating element in a cap that permanently bonded to the plug body. The heating element support and pressure sensor form a unit that has axial play in the interior of the cap.
