  • Publication number: 20140157252
Abstract: In contrast to conventional approaches in which an update to a business software architecture generally involves performing update procedures during a period of business downtime followed by an import of customer-specific transport requests also during business downtime, the current subject matter can facilitate import of the customer transport requests in parallel with update to a core software platform of the business software architecture.

  • Publication number: 20140140255
Abstract: A technique for maintaining a radio time base used to schedule communication in a radio network (100) is provided. A method implementation (300) of the technique comprises determining (310) a course of a frequency relation; switching off (330) a reference oscillator (210) during a period of reduced power (418; 420); predicting (320) the frequency relation; restoring (340) the radio time base in or after the period of reduced power; and communicating (350) in the radio network at a time determined by the restored radio time base. The frequency relation is a relation between the reference oscillator and a clock (214). The predicting is based on a result of the determination and the restoring is based on a result of the prediction. The frequency relation is predicted for a given time in or after the period of reduced power.

  • Publication number: 20140013750
Abstract: A waste recovery system for a waste-heat source made up of an ORC (Organic-Rankine Cycle) postconnected thereto is described. The waste-heat source is in connection with the heating device of the ORC as well as with an expansion machine for steam expansion in the ORC coupled to a generator. The design and operating behavior of a force-heat coupling system is optimized, a waste-heat recovery system made up of an ORC post-connected to a waste-heat source. The expansion machine for steam expansion in the ORC is therefore started up by the generator which is operating in motor mode, and brought to a minimum starting engine speed able to be specified in a control device.

  • Publication number: 20140000319
Abstract: The invention relates to spacer fabric comprising a first and a second generally planar knitted layer (1, 2) that are attached to each other by spacer threads (3), wherein the spacer threads (3) in the first knitted layer (1) form stitches by an intertwining of threads. According to the invention, the spacer threads (3) on the second generally planar knitted layer (2) do not form stitches, wherein the spacer threads (3) are interlaced there only as an inlay. The object of the invention is also a motor vehicle interior furnishing item that includes this spacer fabric as cover material. The spacer fabric is disposed in such a way that the second generally planar knitted layer (2) forms the exposed surface.

The waste-heat source is connected with the heating device of the ORC as well as an expansion machine, coupled to a generator, for steam expansion in the ORC, which has magnetic bearings with an associated control device and a power supply via a direct current intermediate circuit of a generator frequency converter. The design and safe operating behavior of a waste-heat recovery system made up of an ORC post-connected to a waste-heat source are optimized. In a power supply failure, the electric energy that a down-running generator continues to generate is used to supply the magnetic bearings with the associated control device in order to ensure a safe operation in the event of a power supply failure.
