Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for a resource transfer system. An instruction to transfer a first quantity of a resource from a first resource pool to a second resource pool may be received. A hold may be placed on a second quantity of the resource in the first resource pool. The held second quantity of the first resource may not be transferred from the first resource pool until the hold is released. Responsive to receiving a message that fulfills a condition on the hold and an instruction to execute the transfer, the hold may be released. A register that is in the first resource pool and is associated with the resource may decremented by the first quantity, and a register that is in the second resource pool and is associated with the resource may be incremented by the first quantity.

Abstract: A sterilization indicator for a sterile container includes a shape-memory element in the form of a compression spring, which, when a predetermined temperature is reached or exceeded, subjects an indicating unit to a defined axial compressive force. The indicating unit is biased by a restoring spring in the counter-direction of the shape-memory element by way of a restoring force which is smaller than the defined axial compressive force. A latching mechanism can be actuated by a closing or locking mechanism of the sterile container. Following or during the closing or locking of the sterile container, the latching mechanism retains the indicating unit in a sterile position, once the unit has been moved into the sterile position by the shape-memory element. Upon opening or unlocking of the sterile container below the sterilization temperature, it frees the indicating unit, whereupon the restoring spring moves the indicating unit back into an unsterile position.

Abstract: In a method, computer readable medium, or system for making a payment transaction between a payor having an associated payor computer with a ledger storage for the payor and a payee having an associated payee computer with a ledger storage for the payee in a consensus payment network having a plurality of nodes each comprising a respective computer with ledger storage and relying on consensus determinations, an initiator is provided for making the payment transaction between the payor and the payee, the initiator being either the payor, the payee, or an intermediary having an associated intermediary computer. The respective initiator computer creates a temporary payment transaction consensus subnetwork comprising a set of validation nodes acceptable to both the payor and the payee, the set of validation nodes comprising fewer than all of said plurality of nodes in the payment network.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mouthpiece for controlled delivery of a breathing gas including oxygen, preferably an increased ratio of oxygen with respect to ambient air, to the respiratory tracts of a user comprising a valve having two modes; a closed default mode, which substantially impedes any flow of the breathing gas through the valve; and an active open mode, which allows for a substantial flow of the breathing gas through the valve, wherein the open mode can be activated by the user manipulating the valve with his/her mouth. The invention also relates to the use of such a valve in a device for delivery of breathing gas and further to an apparatus for controlled delivery of the breathing gas to the respiratory tracts of a user. Finally, the invention also relates to a method for controlled delivery of the breathing gas to the respiratory tracts of a user.

The fastener is mounted on one of the container parts so as to be pivotable between a closed position, in which the container parts are locked to one another by the fastener, and an open position in which the container parts are unlocked.

The document attachment device comprises a sterilization container lid having an upper side, and at least one document holder having a first attachment portion and spaced therefrom a second attachment portion and a clamping portion arranged between the first attachment portion and the second attachment portion, the first attachment portion and the second attachment portion being fixed to the sterilization container lid when the document holder is connected to the sterilization container lid, and there being arranged between the clamping portion and the upper side of the sterilization container lid a document receptacle in which a document is fixable in a clamped manner by means of the clamping portion on the upper side.

Abstract: A surgical sterilizing container tub is provided on which a sterilizing container lid is adapted to be detachably fitted for formation of a surgical sterilizing container for holding surgical instruments for sterilization. The sterilizing container tub has a bottom and a container wall projecting from the bottom. The sterilizing container tub defines a set-down plane, and the bottom forms a fluid collection area for collecting fluid. In order to provide such a surgical sterilizing container tub and such a surgical sterilizing container with which fluid to be removed can be effectively conducted to the fluid collection area, the bottom has a fluid drainage surface which is inclined relative to the set-down plane and is in fluid connection with the fluid collection area for draining fluid in the direction of the container wall. Abstract: The present invention relates to a bank note sorting apparatus. Known such apparatuses have the disadvantage of not being user-friendly since the transport path of the bank notes is not readily accessible to a user due to the elaborate mechanical design of the transport system. Bank notes that block the transport system due to faulty transport can therefore not be readily removed. In the present invention this disadvantage is avoided by the bank note sorting apparatus consisting of at least three parts, with one part disposed in the middle and at least two parts removable therefrom, thereby obtaining easy access to the transport system.
