  • Patent number: 12363743
Abstract: A method performed by a wireless device, UE, for configuring a semi-persistent scheduling, SPS is described. In accordance with the method, the UE may be configured to monitor a first search space of a physical downlink control channel for downlink control information, DCI, dedicated to the UE. The method may include receiving from the communication network SPS configuration data to configure a second search space to be monitored by the UE for DCI to activate or de-activate the SPS, the second search space being smaller than the first search space, and monitoring the second search space to detect the DCI to activate or de-activate the SPS. A corresponding method may be performed by a network node.

  • Publication number: 20250039937
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to, for example, a method performed by a coordinating UE for handling a cooperative transmission of data from a group of UEs in a wireless communications network. The coordinating UE obtains one or more indications from one or more UEs of the group of UEs, wherein each indication indicates a preferred synchronization signal block, SSB, for respective UE. The coordinating selects an SSB for a random access procedure for the group of UEs performing the cooperative transmission based on the obtained one or more indications, and transmits an SSB indication to the group of UEs indicating the selected SSB. The UE then performs the random access procedure to a radio network node based on the selected SSB.

  • Patent number: 12170970
Abstract: Embodiments include methods, performed by a network node in a wireless network, for signaling resynchronization signal (RSS) configurations of neighbor cells to one or more user equipment (UEs). Such methods include encoding a plurality of parameters of respective RSS configurations of one or more neighbor cells. For each particular neighbor cell, the parameters can include one or more RSS frequency locations and an RSS time offset for the particular neighbor cell, and the encoding can be based on a bitmap and a parameter associated with the particular neighbor cell (e.g., a physical cell ID). Such methods also include transmitting, to the one or more UEs, at least a portion of the encoded parameters of the respective RSS configurations of the neighbor cells. Embodiments also include complementary methods performed by UEs, as well as network nodes and UEs configured to perform such methods.

  • Publication number: 20240296382
Abstract: Supporting value prediction by a first wireless device being served by a wireless communication network. The network sends, to the first wireless device, configuration information for configuring the first wireless device to, train a machine learning, ML, model to predict certain output values. The training uses input training data that at least partly are determined by operative conditions of the first wireless device and uses desired output values with the input training data. The training ends when the ML model being trained fulfills certain one or more ready criteria. The first wireless device trains the ML model based on the configuration information and sends reporting information to the network indicating that it has trained the ML model and fulfilled the ready criteria. The network determines, based on the reporting information, regarding application of the trained ML model by the first wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20240276309
Abstract: A first radio base station (BS), a second BS and a core network (CN) node are provided, as are methods of operating the BSs and CN node when a first base station is to be replaced by a second BS. The first BS transfers to the second BS, information indicative of a BS state associated with the operation of the first BS; stops transmission to/from all wireless devices (WDs) to which the first BS is currently providing radio access; and transfers, to the second BS, information indicative of a plurality of WD states, a WD state being associated with a WD. The second BS then provides radio access to WDs, to which the first BS has hitherto provided radio access. The CN node can identify a need to replace a first BS; send a swap-in request to the first BS; and send a swap-out request to the second BS.

  • Publication number: 20240275843
Abstract: A user terminal emulation server provides communication services through input and/or output (I/O) user devices to a user. The user terminal emulation server is configured to register the user with a network entity providing the communication services, and predict that an I/O user device will become proximately located to the user. Based on the prediction that the I/O user device will become proximately located to the user, the user terminal emulation server determines that the I/O user device has an I/O user interface that satisfies a capability criterion to enable the user to use a first one of the communication services. Based on the satisfaction of the capability criterion and before the user is predicted to become proximately located to the I/O user device, the user terminal emulation server signals the I/O user device to prepare for using the I/O user interface to provide the first communication service.

  • Patent number: 12063701
Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for requesting radio resources from a second terminal device. A method is performed by a first terminal device. The method comprises identifying an increasing need for use of radio resources. The method comprises transmitting, via a sidelink to the second terminal device, a request for using radio resources allocated to the second terminal device. The method comprises receiving, via the sidelink, a response from the second terminal device. • Patent number: 12041119
Abstract: A user terminal emulation server maintains a database identifying network addresses, UI capabilities, and locations of I/O user devices. Communication sessions are established between first and second user terminal emulation applications and respective first and second I/O user devices proximately located to respective first and second users and which provide acceptable combined I/O user interfaces to the first and second users. When a direct path criterion is satisfied for creating a direct traffic flow, a traffic flow that was from the first I/O user devices to the first user terminal emulation applications is redirected to now be from the first I/O user device to the second I/O user device without passing through either of the first and second user terminal emulation applications.
