  • Publication number: 20090304250
Abstract: Spatial relationships are conveyed in three-dimensional ultrasound imaging. To transition a volume rendering from one view to another view, the transition is animated, showing rotation. For example, the user examines one diagnostic view, but decides to examine another diagnostic view. Upon selection of the other diagnostic view, the volume rendered image appears to rotate. The rotation from one view to another shows the spatial relationship between the views. The user may then examine the static volume rendering at the desired view with an appreciation of the relationship with the previously examined static view.

  • Publication number: 20050186155
Abstract: The present invention is a particle, comprising a solid coating primarily comprising at least one wax; and a liquid core primarily comprising at least one polyol, wherein the water content of the core is at most 50% by weight, based on the total weight of the core. The present invention also includes cosmetic or dermatological preparations comprising a plurality of the particles of the invention and processes for preparing the particles of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6796664
Abstract: A method and a device for decontaminating optical surfaces, in particular for decontaminating the surfaces of beam-guiding optics employing UV-radiation in a cleansing atmosphere. The wavelength of the UV-radiation employed falls within a range where oxygen strongly absorbs and the cleansing atmosphere has an oxygen concentration less than that of air. The method and device have application to, e.g., cleaning the surfaces of the beam-guiding optics of microlithographic projection-exposure systems.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 2003
Date of Patent: September 28, 2004
    Assignee: Carl Zeiss SMT AG

  • Patent number: 6474857
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting device for vehicles that envisages a light-decoupling element in a decoupling bay of the vehicle. The light-decoupling element is fed by a light source arranged at a distance therefrom. A light guide is envisaged between the light source and the light decoupling element. An additional decoupling bay lighting device is envisaged to achieve a visually appealing appearance of the decoupling bay and to illuminate the decoupling bay of the light-decoupling element.

  • Patent number: 6371635
Abstract: Disclosed is a lighting device for a vehicle, having a light-decoupling element in a decoupling bay of the vehicle. The light-decoupling element is fed by a light source arranged at a distance, where an optical fiber connects the light source and the light decoupling element. A light panel is used to achieve a visual shielding of an inner bay containing structural elements and components. The light panel facilitates a visual shielding of the rear inner bay.
