  • Patent number: 11577026
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.

  • Patent number: 11298464
Abstract: An assembly for a drug delivery device includes a housing, a rotation member, a drive member and at least one correction member. In a delivery mode, the drive member and the rotation member are coupled such that the drive member follows rotational movement of the rotation member in a first rotational direction. In a correction mode, the rotation member and the drive member are decoupled such that the rotation member is rotatable in the first rotational direction with respect to the drive member. For switching from the delivery mode into the correction mode, the correction member is moveable with respect to the housing, wherein the assembly is configured such that movement of the correction member with respect to the housing is converted into a relative movement between the drive member and the rotation member for decoupling the drive member and the rotation member.

  • Publication number: 20220088313
Abstract: An injection device is described. The injection device includes a housing, a dose indicator, and a release mechanism. The dose indicator is positioned within the internal space of the housing. The dose indicator includes a number of engaging members at least one thereof being configured to contact multiple of distinct ratchet features in course of a helical or screwing movement in distinct positions, wherein the contact is configured to provide a user with a tactile indexing appearance in the way of an increased or decreased dwelling torque at each of the multiple distinct positions. The release mechanism is connected to the dose indicator. The release mechanism is configured to, when activated during dose dispense, urge the engaging members away from the distant position and against the force of the resilient bias thereby suspending the indexing ratchet appearance at least for a subset of the multiple distinct positions.

  • Publication number: 20210077741
Abstract: An injection device for setting and injecting a dose of a medicament comprises a housing) extending along an axial direction (z), a dose setting mechanism arranged in the housing, a dose dial displaceable relative to the housing for setting of the dose, a dose tracker (50; 150) operably connectable to the dose dial (12), the dose tracker is at least one of translationally or rotationally displaceable relative to the housing during setting of a dose, wherein a positional state of the dose tracker relative to the housing is indicative of a size of the dose, and a preselector configured to define a maximum dose positional state of the dose tracker relative to the housing, and a first marker provided on one of the dose tracker and the preselector and configured to indicate the positional state of the dose tracker relative to the preselector.

  • Patent number: 10543321
Abstract: The present invention refers to a pen cap, being capable of covering a distal end of a drug delivery device comprising at least one protruding element located inside the pen cap which prevents that the rim of an outer needle cap, while being a protective casing for the needle at the distal end of the drug delivery device, can get stuck within a part of the pen cap if the user puts the pen cap on the drug delivery device. The inner diameter of the pen cap is reduced by means of the at least one protruding element, such that the inner diameter of the pen cap is smaller than the largest outer diameter of the outer needle cap. Furthermore, the invention relates to a drug delivery device comprising a pen cap with the described protruding elements.

  • Patent number: 10493208
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.

  • Patent number: 10434757
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a drug delivery device body comprising the following steps: At first a first part of the drug delivery device body wherein the surface of the first part of the drug delivery device body consists of at least one selected area and at least one non selected area is provided. The selected area of the drug delivery device body is a part of the contact area of the first part and a second part of the drug delivery device body to be fixed to the first part of the drug delivery device body. Subsequently a layer of an adhesive is deposited on the surface of the first part; means for deposition of the adhesive only in the selected area are provided. The first part with the layer of adhesive and the second part are joined so that the layer of the adhesive is only arranged in the contact area of the first and the second part of the drug delivery device body.
