  • Publication number: 20180052074
Abstract: In a method for calibrating a polarization axis measuring device, both flat sides of a calibration element in a polarization axis measuring device are irradiated with polarized light, wherein the method involves aligning in each case at least one polarization direction of the light in a first and/or second rotational position with a principal axis in a predefined angular relationship with respect to a polarization axis of the calibration element. Determining the rotational position of an axis of the calibration element is carried out by determining an angle bisector between the first and second rotational positions of the polarization direction of the incident light. The method involves assigning a predefined angle value for the rotational position of the principal axis of the polarization direction for which the latter is in the predefined angular relationship with respect to the axis of the calibration element inserted as intended.

  • Publication number: 20160008942
Abstract: A method for providing spectacle lenses that have a microstructure on at least one side. A procedure is described, in which the structure is introduced into a face of the lens after the processing of the face of the lens. Processing steps used to achieve the optical quality of the corresponding surface can be omitted. The back face of a spectacle lens may be microstructured by CNC-controlled turning after a first shaping processing, wherein the polishing step is omitted.

Abstract: The determination of objective refraction data for an eye of a spectacle wearer, wherein based on measured data for the eye of the spectacle wearer, which determine at least one first set of Zernike coefficients of a wave front aberration for a long accommodation and a second set of Zernike coefficients of a wave front aberration for a short accommodation of the eye, objective refraction data for sphere (SphNcorr), cylinder (CylNcorr) and axis position (AxisNcorr) of the eye for close viewing is determined such that the objective refraction data satisfies equations Sph N corr = M N corr + ( J N , 0 corr ) 2 + ( J N , 45 corr ) 2 , ? Cyl N corr = - 2 ? ( J N , 0 corr ) 2 + ( J N , 45 corr ) 2 ? ? and Axis N corr = 1 2 ? arctan ?
