Abstract: A cell balancing circuit monitors the voltage between serially connected cells and compares it to a reference voltage. From that comparison, the cell balancing circuit sources or sinks current into a midpoint node between rechargeable cells to keep the cells balanced during the charging process. In one preferred embodiment, the cell balancing circuit includes an op-amp, connected in a unity gain configuration. A voltage divider establishes a reference voltage equal to the average of the two cell voltages. The op-amp compares this average to the measured voltage at the midpoint node. When the average voltage exceeds the voltage at the midpoint node, the op-amp sources current into the midpoint node. When the average voltage falls below the voltage at the midpoint node, the op-amp sinks current from the midpoint node. By sourcing or sinking current, the cell balancing circuit allows the lesser charged cell to catch up with the more fully charged cell.

Abstract: Methods for generating an aggregate report to provide a certification of controls associated with a data set include identifying sources that generate information to be included in the data set. A plurality of controls associated with the identified sources are identified. At least one of the controls is selected as a key control. The key control is tested to assess its efficacy as a control for its identified source. The key control is modified to adjust its efficacy based on the testing of the key control when the efficacy fails to satisfy a criterion. An aggregate report is generated on the plurality of controls based on the testing of the key control to provide a certification of the controls associated with the data set.

Abstract: One or more voice mail messages, respectively, may be provided as one or more reminder messages. After the playing of a voice mail message, an option may be provided to use the message as a reminder message. Delivery information for the reminder message is obtained. The delivery information may include the user's telephone number, another telephone number, multiple telephone numbers, or identifiers for other devices. The delivery information also may include a designated time for delivery or different times for each of the destinations. The delivery of the reminder message may be password protected. The reminder message is delivered based on the delivery information. If the reminder message is password protected, the reminder message is delivered in response to receipt of the password.
