  • Publication number: 20230050757
Abstract: Approaches for placing logic of a circuit design include determining respective relative activation rates of control paths in a high-level language (HLL) program by a design tool. The HLL program specifies a circuit design. The design tool compiles the HLL program into logic functions and determines respective relative activation rates of signal connections between the logic functions based on the relative activation rates of the control paths in the HLL program. The design tool selects placement locations on an integrated circuit device for the logic functions using a placement cost minimization function that factors the relative activation rates of the signal connections into placement costs.

  • Patent number: 11552520
Abstract: An EC motor with a stator and a rotor mounted to a shaft. The motor has a cooling system, an over molded stator housing, and an optimized rotor. The stator has teeth with wound electromagnetic coils. The teeth and coils are distributed circumferentially with gaps between adjacent coils. The stator is over molded with plastic that forms axially oriented cooling passages between adjacent coil sections. An impeller fan then draws air into the motor through air inlets connected to air passages. The impeller fan directs the air through the axially oriented cooling passages in the stator and out air outlets. An optimized internal rotor has permanent magnets and silicon steel laminates spaced circumferentially and extending outwardly from a central hub. Rectangular shaped magnets are interposed in the gaps between the laminates. Wedge-shaped magnets are aligned radially with the laminates and between the laminates and the hub.

  • Publication number: 20220357577
Abstract: A method of dissipating heat generated by imaging devices and processing devices of a wearable electronic eyewear device includes providing a first heat sink thermally connecting the imaging devices to a frame of the eyewear device to sink heat to the frame and providing a second heat sink thermally connecting the processing devices to respective temples of the eyewear device to sink heat to the respective temples. The first and second heat sinks are thermally insulated from each other to direct the heat to different portions of the eyewear device. The processing devices may include a first co-processor disposed in a first temple connected to a first end of the frame and a second co-processor disposed in a second temple connected to a second end of the frame. The resulting eyewear device spreads the heat from heat generating devices over a larger area to minimize overall heating.
