  • Publication number: 20220313013
Abstract: An artificial gravity heating system includes a cylindrical compartment formed of a hollow cylinder having a bottom base and an open top end. An electric motor rotates the cylindrical compartment to provide centripetal motion of materials inside the cylindrical compartment. While rotating, the materials move towards an inner wall of the cylindrical compartment. A heating element is conductively coupled along an outer wall of the cylindrical compartment for heating the materials against the inner wall via conduction. A temperature sensor is operatively coupled to the cylindrical compartment for monitoring a temperature of the cylindrical compartment. A controller is configured to control operation of the heating element based on the temperature monitored via the temperature sensor. An artificial gravity heating method is used to process materials including heating ingredients to cook food. The artificial gravity heating system may also be configured as a vapor generator dehydrator or a thermal gas generator.

  • Publication number: 20220211684
Abstract: Enfumafungin derivative triterpenoid antifungal compounds are used to decolonize fungi from anatomic areas of subjects colonized by fungi. The enfumafungin derivative triterpenoids (or pharmaceutically acceptable salts or hydrates thereof) are inhibitors of (1,3)-?-glucan synthesis and can decolonize Candida auris from body sites such as skin and mucosa. Subjects who would benefit from such decolonization include individuals colonized by Candida auris who previously suffered a Candida auris infection and favor relapse and/or may transmit the fungus to other individuals who may be susceptible.

  • Publication number: 20220194533
Abstract: A method for the reduction of ship fuel consumption through the optimisation of vessel draft, speed and trim using historical vessel data. Historical global, online data, is collected for multiple vessel operating parameters associated with its previous voyages. After initial filtering and cleaning of the gathered data, a process of analysing the data to determine the optimum draft, speed and trim for the vessels' given speed is described. The determined optimum draft, speed and trim values are then presented to the Captain or an automatic draft and trim optimisation system for the current draft and trim to be adjusted. This application therefore discloses a method for analysing historical vessel data to provide advice on optimum draft, trim and speed. A method for predicting the achievable fuel savings and recording the fuel savings achieved is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11353289
Abstract: A zero-stop mechanism comprises first and second stop members and a movement limit member. The second stop member is releasably secured to an adjustment mechanism. The movement limit member extends around a turret assembly and has a substantially annular main body from which a lug extends. In a first rotational direction of the adjustment mechanism, the second stop member comes into contact with a first side of the lug whereby the main body is rotated in the first rotational direction until a second side of the lug comes into contact with the first stop member. In a second rotational direction of the adjustment mechanism, the second stop member comes into contact with the lug second side whereby the main body is rotated in the second rotational direction until the lug first side contacts the first stop member.

  • Patent number: 11319728
Abstract: An automated sash lock for locking a window sash comprises a linearly depressible trigger, a cam-style locking element normally biased towards a locked position, a rotatable detent actuated by the trigger, a pivotable transfer element between the detent and the locking element, and an actuator for manually operating the lock mechanism to unlock the lock when the window is in a closed and locked position. The detent is normally biased in the direction of the locking element and a portion of the detent engages a body portion of the locking element to maintain the locking element in a retracted position when the window is open. Upon actuation of the trigger by a closing window, the trigger translates linearly into the lock housing and rotates the detent into the disengaged position, pulling the detent away from the locking element and allowing the locking element to fire out of the lock housing and into an opening in a strike in the adjacent sash to prevent the sashes from relative sliding movement.
