  • Publication number: 20200364860
Abstract: Dental images are processed according to a first machine learning model to determine teeth labels. The teeth labels and image are concatenated and processed using a second machine learning model to label anatomy including CEJ, JE, GM, and Bone. The anatomy labels, teeth labels, and image are concatenated and processed using a third machine learning model to obtain feature measurements, such as pocket depth and clinical attachment level. The feature measurements, anatomy labels, teeth labels, and image may be concatenated and input to a fourth machine learning model to obtain a diagnosis for a periodontal condition. Feature measurements and/or the diagnosis may be processed according to a diagnosis hierarchy to determine whether a treatment is appropriate. Machine learning models may further be used to reorient, decontaminate, and restore the image prior to processing. Machine learning models may be embodied as CNN, GAN, and cyclic GAN.

  • Patent number: 10745941
Abstract: A barrier latch assembly having a housing including a first locking element, a second locking element, a trigger and a swing plate. The swing plate is coupled to the trigger and to the first and second locking elements. When the trigger is depressed, the swing plate pivots from an unlock position to a lock position over a rear side of the first and second locking element thereby blocking and preventing the first and second locking elements from being depressed inward.

  • Patent number: 10553138
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of an adaptive driving compensation for enhancing display uniformity. Multiple input data patterns of the display panel are compared with image data by an image analyzing means or a user and thereby generate display control commands if non-uniformity in the display of image is detected by the image analyzing means or the user. A difference between pixel data associated with a current line and a preceding line is compared with a predefined threshold. A look up table (LUT) is scanned to add a compensation value on the pixel data the current line based upon the display control commands if the difference between the pixel data of the current line and the preceding line is greater than the predefined threshold or otherwise retain the original value of the said pixel data. The input data patterns with compensated pixel data or original pixel data is displayed.

  • Patent number: 10546368
Abstract: A method and a display driver for compensating the perceptual bias of edge boost when driving a display panel are provided. The method can pre-process an input image to compensate for a perceptual bias of edge boost, e.g., at a contiguous group of color bands in the input image prior to sending the input image in a form of plural frames to a display panel for display. The method includes the steps of partitioning an input image into one or more grayscale regions, segmenting the grayscale regions into a plurality of color bands, detecting a subtle but perceivably significant change of color or luminance between two adjacent color bands, identifying a transition region and performing color dilution on the transition region. The display driver can include an input buffer, an image processor configured to execute the above method and an output buffer.

  • Patent number: 10452196
Abstract: A capacitive sensing method comprising: driving a first excitation signal onto a sensor electrode, and driving a second excitation signal onto the embedded electrodes. Either the first or the second excitation signal has voltage oscillations of constant first amplitude, while the other has voltage oscillations of varying second amplitude. The second amplitude varies between a high amplitude value that is larger than the first amplitude by an amplitude difference and a low amplitude value that is smaller than the first amplitude by the same amplitude difference. The method further comprises using one or more integrators to integrate an electric current due to combined voltage oscillations of the first and the second excitation signals within an integration cycle, and generate an integrated signal for detecting a capacitive change on the sensor electrode; wherein the integration cycle comprises a plurality of voltage oscillations of the first and the second excitation signals.

  • Patent number: 10347174
Abstract: A system enabling compressed frame scanning for a display and a method thereof are described herein. A pixel having a maximum pixel data in a row of the plurality of rows corresponding to a frame is identified. The maximum pixel data identified in the row is assigned as a pixel data for the row. A scan time for the row is computed based upon the pixel data of the row and a scanning time associated with a unit of the brightness index. An aggregate scan time for the frame is determined based upon the scan time computed for each of the plurality of rows corresponding to the frame. Finally, the frame is scanned based upon the aggregate scan time determined for the frame thereby enabling compressed scanning of the frame. The method is further implemented for randomly assigned rows of the frame to two or more sub-frames of the frame.

  • Patent number: 10282042
Abstract: Embodiments of an active in-cell sub-pixel in an LCD panel are provided for time multiplexing image display and touch sensing so as to reduce pin counts required in display driver integrated circuits. In one embodiment, the sub-pixel comprises a liquid crystal capacitor, a storage capacitor and an active switching element. One terminal of the liquid crystal capacitor is connectable to a data line via a thin film transistor switch. The active switching element is connected to another terminal of the liquid crystal capacitor, and is externally controllable. In one configuration, the active switching element connects the liquid crystal capacitor to a second common electrode of the panel, causing the display-driving mode to be turned on. In another configuration, the active switching element connects the liquid crystal capacitor to the data line, causing the touch-sensing mode to be turned on.

  • Patent number: 10133405
Abstract: A touch-sensing-enabled display module is provided. In the module, a display panel has an electroluminescent layer, such as an organic light emitting diode (OLED) layer, sandwiched between cathode electrodes and anode electrodes. The anode electrodes transmit touch-sensing signals induced at the display panel. The MSN performs multiplexing and summing on the touch-sensing signals to produce output-channel signals for touch sensing. The multiplexing and the summing are reconfigurable such that the touch-sensing signals are dynamically selected for summing to produce one or more output-channel signals. A touch controller measures the output-channel signals to generate touch data. The module further includes a display driver for driving the cathode and anode electrodes. By using the MSN, the display panel is able to provide adaptive sensor reconfiguration.

  • Patent number: 9954441
Abstract: A slim and cost effective power module solution derived from the multiple-phase buck converter technology that addresses the problems of inductor thickness and excessive magnetic material use. Such power module solution utilizes a multi-phase constant current topology and a corresponding electronic controller to provide a constant current source for various OLED lighting applications. The multi-phase constant current topology comprises two or more inductor-flyback diode feedback loops. Each inductor-flyback diode feedback loop is triggered ON and OFF out-of-phase by a current controller, which senses and estimates the average current supplied to the load, and causes the adjustments to the average current supplied to the load by controlling the ON duration of the inductor-flyback diode feedback loops.
