Abstract: A method including positioning a downhole acquisition tool in a wellbore in a geological formation; performing a pretest sequence to gather at least one of pressure or mobility information based on downhole acquisition from a sample line, a guard line, or both while the downhole acquisition tool is within the wellbore. The pretest sequence includes controlling a valve assembly to a first valve configuration that may allow the fluid to flow into the downhole tool via one or more flowlines toward a pretest system. The one or more flowlines include the sample line only, the guard line only, or both the sample line and the guard line; and drawing in the fluid through the one or more flowlines. The method also includes controlling the valve assembly to a second valve configuration. The second valve configuration is different from the first valve configuration and may block the one or more flowlines from drawing in the fluid.

Abstract: An adjustable display brochure holder component comprising opposed spaced apart front and rear surfaces, opposed spaced apart first and second side surfaces and a supporting base surface. The rear surface is formed or oriented in a single plane and the rear surface includes a plurality of attachment points therein. Each one of the attachment points is located at or near side edge portions of the rear surface. Each of the attachment points is adapted to engage with a clip, thereby enabling the display brochure holder component to be clipped to, and secured with, an adjacent like display brochure holder component.

Abstract: A thermally actuated venting system includes a thermally actuated vent for opening a vent outlet in a gas turbine engine associated compartment with a passive thermal actuator located in the compartment based on a temperature of the compartment. Outlet may be located at or near a top of a core engine compartment, a fan compartment, or a pylon compartment. Actuator may be operably connected to a hinged door of vent for opening outlet. Actuator may be actuated by a phase change material disposed in a chamber and having a liquid state below a predetermined actuation temperature and a gaseous state above the predetermined actuation temperature. Actuator may include a thermal fuse for closing door during a fire. Thermal fuse may include at least a portion of piston rod or a cylinder wall of actuator being made of a fuse material having a melting point substantially above the predetermined actuation temperature.

Abstract: Improving scalability and throughput in publish/subscribe messaging systems by allowing the spoke systems to vary the member of the hub collective that it attaches to. The scalability is improved because the spoke systems do not have to have a long lasting attachment to a specific hub system. Instead, the spoke systems can be redistributed more evenly when new spoke systems are added or removed. The throughput is increased by distributing workload and fan-out responsibilities within hub collectives. Availability is improved because single points of failure are removed. Ease of administration is also improved over a hierarchy by allowing child nodes to automatically change parent nodes if a parent node is modified or removed.

Abstract: A technique facilitates controlling flow in a wellbore with a simplified valve. The design of the valve also enables reduction in the overall length of the valve to improve spatial considerations. The valve comprises a valve component, e.g. a flapper, movable between a closed position and an open position. A flow tube is designed to selectively open the valve component with reduced travel, thus enabling a shortened flow tube. The short flow tube enables use of valve housings, springs, and other valve components having a reduced length.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus, system, methods, and computer-program product for message delivery in a publish/subscribe network is provided. According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for message delivery in a publish/subscribe network includes defining a group of publish/subscribe engines as a subset of a set of fully connectable publish/subscribe engines, wherein the group provides a function which can be carried out by any one of the publish/subscribe engines in the group. Each of the publish/subscribe engines in the group sends a group proxy subscription including a topic, an indication of the publish/subscribe engine sending the group proxy subscription, and an indication of the group. A publish/subscribe engine outside the group sends a single publish message to one of the group of publish/subscribe engines with a group proxy subscription for a topic.

Optionally, a second protective layer underlies the bottom surface of the substrate layer. The protective layers are impermeable to the active material and are water-soluble. The protective layer precludes release of the active material from the substrate layer so long as the protective layers are intact and undissolved.

The method allows a user to re-display selected items in a web map such that the item are distinguished from other items in the web map and are displayed in a clarified form. This enables a web map to be de-cluttered.

Abstract: Input to a device under test (DUT) is reconstructed. For each trigger cycle of a tester in which data is to be input to the DUT stimulus, data is prepared to be placed as stimulus on pins of the DUT. Response information obtained from the DUT during a previous trigger cycle is used to construct formatting information used to adjust a value of the stimulus data. Reconstruction information sufficient to reconstruct the stimulus data is stored. The reconstruction information includes the formatting information. The reconstruction information is used to reconstruct the stimulus data placed on the pins of the device under test.

A user is presented with an interface that allows the user to specify different modes for capturing data for different input/output signals for the DUT. Data for the different input/output signals are captured in accordance with different data capture mechanisms dependent upon the different modes specified by the user. Based on the data, waveforms for each of the different input/output signals are simultaneously displayed.
