  • Publication number: 20040017184
Abstract: Waveforms of input/output signals for a device under test (DUT) are simultaneously displayed. A user is presented with an interface that allows the user to specify different modes for capturing data for different input/output signals for the DUT. Data for the different input/output signals are captured in accordance with different data capturing mechanisms dependent upon the different modes specified by the user. Based on the data, waveforms for each of the different input/output signals are simultaneously displayed.

  • Publication number: 20040019839
Abstract: Input to a device under test (DUT) is reconstructed. For each trigger cycle of a tester in which data is to be input to the DUT stimulus, data is prepared to be placed as stimulus on pins of the DUT. Response information obtained from the DUT during a previous trigger cycle is used to construct formatting information used to adjust a value of the stimulus data. Reconstruction information sufficient to reconstruct the stimulus data is stored. The reconstruction information includes the formatting information. The reconstruction information is used to reconstruct the stimulus data placed on the pins of the device under test.

  • Patent number: 6593354
Abstract: The invention is directed to physiologically active compounds of formula (Ia): wherein R1 is optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heteroaryl; R2 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R3 is alkylene, alkenylene or alkynylene; R5 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; L2 is optionally substituted alkylene or alkenylene; Y is carboxy; and Z1 is NR5; and the corresponding N-oxides, and their prodrugs; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates (e.g. hydrates) of such compounds and their N-oxides and prodrugs. Such compounds have valuable pharmaceutical properties, in particular the ability to regulate the interaction of VCAM-1 and fibronectin with the integrin VLA-4 (&agr;4&bgr;1).

  • Publication number: 20030041143
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a system for providing profile information about at least one internet user. The profile information is provided to users of the internet, and may also be provided to a third party. The profile information may be used by a user to view their own web-surfing habits, and may allow the surfing habits of particular demographic groups of a site or set of web sites to be examined. For example, parents may use the profile information to monitor the internet usage of children. Preferably, profile information provided to any party is presented as summarised demographic information about a selection of users, rather than personal details about any single user. However, a user may be given access to their own personal details. The present invention also provides a display system including means for graphically displaying a navigation history of an internet user.

  • Publication number: 20030038836
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of mapping at least a part of one or more web sites having web objects and web links, whereby web objects and links are mapped as nodes and edges, respectively, in one or more web maps, each object being mapped to at least one corresponding node. The method allows a user to re-display selected items in a web map such that the item are distinguished from other items in the web map and are displayed in a clarified form. The preset invention enables a web map to be de-cluttered. In one embodiment, all “similar” nodes are displayed on the same web map, wherein the similarity of any pair of nodes is a function of a directory distance and/or a link distance. The directory distance is a measure of separation between a pair of web objects corresponding to the pair of the nodes in a directory structure of the web site and a link distance is a measure of separation between a pair of web objects corresponding to the pair of nodes in a linking structure of the web site.

  • Patent number: 6418638
Abstract: A control system and method for a dryer used to dry a line of gypsum boards. The control system automates control of the dryer by measuring the amount of water used at the mixer to produce board segments and determining a desired amount of water to be evaporated for each board segment based on the measured value. The desired amount of water to be evaporated for each board segment is tracked through the production line and the total evaporation load of each dryer zone is continuously calculated based on the board segments located in the dryer zone at a given time. The dryer zone differential temperature is adjusted according to the calculated evaporation load. When a board is rejected from the board line, the desired amounts of water to be evaporated of its corresponding board segments are set to zero, thus signifying a gap.

  • Patent number: 6106756
Abstract: A method for producing a high solids aqueous solution of poly(vinyl alcohol) in which substantially dry poly(vinyl alcohol) is first fed into a specially designed single screw extruder. Heated water is introduced through a separate entry port downstream of the feed end of the extruder. A temperature of 38 to 121.degree. C. and a back pressure of at least 20,786 kPa are applied to the extruder. The mixture of poly(vinyl alcohol) and water is conveyed through transition and metering sections of the single screw extruder to dispersive and distributive mixing sections to produce a high solids poly(vinyl alcohol) solution which is substantially free of gels. The high solids poly(vinyl alcohol) solution can be used directly in the production of products such as fibers and sheets.
