  • Publication number: 20250114541
Abstract: A dry powder inhalation device has a means to aerosolize powdered medicament and introduce the aerosolized medicament to an airflow directed to a user outlet. The device has a primary deagglomeration structure in the form of a baffle through which the airflow passes downstream of the means to aerosolize the powdered medicament and a secondary deagglomeration structure which is a tortuous passage through which the airflow passes downstream of the primary deagglomeration structure. The deagglomeration structures cause disruption to the airflow in their vicinity whereby the particles of the aerosolized powdered medicament are deagglomerated due to the primary deagglomeration structure and the secondary deagglomeration structure. The insert defines a tortuous passage which has a trajectory with a centre line, whereby the centre line has two or more major bends, involving a first point of inflection between a pair of adjacent bends of the two or more major bends.

  • Publication number: 20250117707
Abstract: We describe a computing machine (ex-machine) that uses self-modification and randomness to enhance computation. An ex-machine program can compute languages that a standard machine cannot compute. An ex-machine has three types of instructions: standard, meta and random. One or more meta instructions self-modify the machine as it executes. Sometimes standard instructions are expressed in the C programming language or a hardware description language (VHDL). In an embodiment, random instructions take measurements from a random source that measures quantum events. In an embodiment, an ex-machine receives a computer program as input, containing only standard instructions. An ex-machine can combines random instructions and meta instructions to self-modify its instructions, so that it can evolve to compute (verify) the correctness of the computer program that it received as input.

  • Publication number: 20250118344
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for serial pass-through techniques for memory device interfaces are described. Memory interface circuitry may be configured to receive a command via a first interface having a first set of terminals to configure the memory interface circuitry for a pass-through mode. As part of the pass-through mode, the memory interface circuitry may receive data from an external device via the first interface and output the data to one or more memory devices via a second interface having a second set of terminals. In some examples, the received data may be associated with a write burst, in which the memory interface circuitry may serially receive multiple portions of the data to write to a buffer of the memory interface circuitry. After reaching a threshold quantity of data, the buffer may output the portions of the data to the one or more memory devices via the second interface.

  • Publication number: 20250117266
Abstract: A multi-tenant service platform provides network services, such as content delivery, edge compute, and/or media streaming, on behalf of, or directly for, a given tenant. The service platform offers a policy layer enabling each tenant to specify levels of acceptable performance degradation that the platform may incur so that the platform can use electricity with desirable characteristics to service client requests associated with that tenant. Service nodes in the platform (e.g., edge servers) enforce the policy layer at the time of a service request. Preferably, the ‘quality’ of the electricity is a measurement of source of the energy, e.g., whether it is sourced from high-carbon fossil fuels (low-quality) or low-carbon renewables (high-quality). If the desired quality of electricity cannot be achieved, the node can resort to using less electricity to handle the request, which is achieved in a variety of ways.

  • Publication number: 20250119413
Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described for secure data transmission. An example system includes a first end-point device, an intermediate device, and a second-end point device. The first end-point device determines the format requirements of the communication link between the first end-point device and the intermediate device, and the communication link intermediate device and the second end-point device. Based on the format requirements, the first end-point device configures the data packet for transmission, such that the data packet, when received at the intermediate device, is re-configured and routed to the second end-point device. When the second end-point device receives the data packet, it verifies the data packet to confirm that the packet has maintained its integrity throughout transit.

  • Publication number: 20250117763
Abstract: A computer-implemented real-time payment system for clearing and settlement of transactions is described. The real-time payment system is adapted to implement a method of automated liquidity maintenance. The real-time payment system receives transactions for clearing and settlement from a plurality of participants, each of which has a liquidity position in the real-time payment system. At least some of the participants have a funded liquidity position in a central bank. The real-time payment system determines whether the liquidity position of each of the participants meets predetermined rules. If the liquidity position of any of the participants does not meet a predetermined rule applicable when the determination is made, the system requests an adjustment for that liquidity position so that it complies with that predetermined rule. The real-time payment system also coordinates with the central bank to use one of the funded liquidity positions to support that adjustment to a liquidity position.
