  • Publication number: 20230333229
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for triggering a sensor operation of a second sensor (e.g., a camera) based on a predicted time of alignment with a first sensor (e.g., a LiDAR), where operation of the second sensor is simulated to determine the predicted time of alignment. In this manner, the sensor data captured by the two sensors is ensured to be substantially synchronized with respect to the physical environment being sensed. This sensor data synchronization based on predicted alignment of the sensors solves the technical problem of lack of sensor coordination and sensor data synchronization that would otherwise result from the latency associated with communication between sensors and a centralized controller and/or between sensors themselves.

  • Patent number: 11711114
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for activating remote monitoring functionality of a personal wireless device associated with a released individual. After incarceration, former inmates are released under a variety of different circumstances, many of which require follow-up check-ins with case managers or other individuals. As part of their release, inmates often agree to multiple restrictions and requirements. In order to better monitor compliance with those requirements, a personal wireless device assigned to the released individual can be programmed with certain rules and automatically trigger when a violation is detected. As a result of a detected violation, the personal wireless device activates certain devices, such as a camera, microphone, etc., to capture data in order to remotely monitor the released individual. A case manager can also manually activate monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20230226682
Abstract: Robots are commonly used for automated MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding in many industries such as automotive manufacturing. A weld procedure is defined and the robot performs motion control of the weld torch along the weld seam, while starting and stopping the arc as desired along the weld seams. The robot controls the motion of the torch along the weld path. The motion is defined by a combination of the position and orientation of the torch which is attached to the robot end-effector. The weld specification will generally prescribe a portion or all of the desired orientation of the torch. This information can be used to reduce the complexity of programming a weld path for a robot.
