  • Patent number: 8320140
Abstract: In one embodiment, a power converter system includes an input terminal for receiving a DC input voltage. The power converter system delivers AC power to a load at an output terminal. A transformer is coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal. The transformer has a first winding, a second winding, and a third winding. The output terminal is coupled to the second winding. A half-bridge circuit, coupled between the input terminal and the first winding of the transformer, includes a first switch and a second switch coupled at a common node. The first and second switches are operable to be turned on and off for causing current to flow in the transformer during operation of the power converter system. Circuitry is close coupled to the first winding of the transformer.

  • Publication number: 20100215880
Abstract: The current invention utilizes an extrusion coating method as a key step in a series of multilayer construction processes to make a laminate for graphic application. The extrusion coated layer performs as a strengthening layer to provide mechanical properties for the construction, while an ink receptive coating layer delivers high quality printability performance. High gloss can be achieved through the use of a PET carrier.

  • Patent number: 7512148
Abstract: A weighted round-robin arbitrator for a plurality of data queue includes an arbitration table comprising a plurality of entries. Each entry represents a time slot for the transmission of one data packet from a selected one of the plurality of data queues. There is one arbitration logic circuit for each of the plurality of entries in the arbitration table. Each arbitration logic circuit includes a first multiplexer receiving an output from a first table entry and an output from a second table entry in the arbitration table. A second multiplexer receives empty flags from each of the data queues, the flags indicating that there is no data to the sent from that queue.

  • Publication number: 20070045259
Abstract: A method and apparatus for welding with an engine driven inverter power supply includes generating an ac output with an engine and generator. The output is rectified and inverted to provide an ac inverter output. The engine is controlled using feedback indicative of a welding output operating parameter. The feedback may also be taken from the inverter or generator, and the generator may be controlled instead of or in addition to the engine. Engine parameters that may be controlled include engine speed, selecting between an idle speed and a run speed, a throttle position, a fuel pump, an injection timer, a fuel to air ratio, fuel consumption and ignition timing. Another aspect of the invention is having the feedback be responsive to one or more of the welding current, welding voltage, welding power, or functions thereof. The feedback may be responsive to the current, voltage, power, ripple and functions thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050125590
Abstract: A PCI Express switch utilizes a central crossbar memory for all ports of the switch. The crossbar memory retains the packet that is to be sent out and only the head pointer for the packet is transmitted to the transmission port. The crossbar memory can also be used as the replay memory for the switch. A circuit for choosing the head pointer at a port for the packet to be sent out, is also disclosed.
